Texas: A K9 officer suffered a tooth injury while bringing a wanted man into police custody Saturday afternoon, according to the Coryell County Sheriff's Office.

Coryell County officers on patrol were called to a location in Copperas Cove at 3:11 p.m. in reference to an alleged assault. Upon arrival, officers determined the suspect, Ralph Thomas Deharde, had run away before deputies arrived.

At 3:51 p.m., the sheriff's office said a person reported seeing someone matching Deharde's description come out of the woods near Lutheran Church Road and Duncan Road. Deputies arrived at the scene within eight minutes and began searching the area. Officers were able to locate Deharde walking in a nearby neighborhood.

K9 Drago engaged Deharde to prevent him from getting away before officers arrested Deharde. The sheriff's office said Deharde suffered minor injuries. Deharde was charged with violation of parole and evading arrest.

Police later learned K9 Drago experienced an injury to his left bottom tooth during the altercation. Drago is receiving medical attention at Coryell Vet, the sheriff's office said.

"The Coryell County K-9 unit continues to work tirelessly, to be prepared to protect the public. We would like to thank the Coryell Veterinary Clinic in Gatesville for seeing Drago for his injury in such a short notice," the sheriff's office said. "This reinforces Sheriff Williamโ€™s promise to aggressively pursue those who pose a threat to the public in Coryell County. Ensuring public safety and enforcing all laws. We encourage citizens to report any suspicious activity or criminal activity."

Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for Drago's recovery๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

He lived the very values that Texans innately cherish, and was the embodiment of self-determination, faith, and the Texas spirit.

Chuck will be deeply missed. Rest in Peace, my friend.

In Memory of Deputy Raul V. Gama
EOW: May 1, 2007

On May 1, 2007, at approximately 8:30 a.m., Detective Raul Gama was working an undercover surveillance operation involving stolen cellular phones inside a parked van on Oxnard Street in North Hollywood as part of this operation. A teenage driver lost control of his vehicle and crashed into the parked van critically injuring Detective Gama. He was transported to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center in Burbank where he succumbed to his injuries. He died the day after his 20-year anniversary as a member of the Sheriffโ€™s Department.

At the time of the accident the young driver was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving and vehicular manslaughter. Subsequent tests revealed he had no impairment and no charges were filed against him.

Four years before Detective Gamaโ€™s tragic death, around noon on June 20, 2003, 31 Union Pacific railroad cars broke loose during a switching maneuver in Montclair and rolled some 27 miles into Los Angeles before railroad personnel managed to switch them onto a sidetrack in the City of Commerce causing 18 of the cars to derail. Some of these cars crashed into nearby homes. Detective Gama rescued a family trapped in the debris despite leaking natural gas and sparking from downed power lines. For this act of heroism, he received the Departmentโ€™s Medal of Valor.

Detective Gama, 43, was survived by his wife, Sandra, and four children. His funeral was attended by over 3,000 mourners. A short time before his death he told his wife about his career, โ€œIf I had it to do over again, I wouldnโ€™t change a thing. I love what I do.โ€

On April 27, deputies responded to a call from a single mother who said she could no longer provide a safe home for her 7-year-old son.

When they arrived, she explained her power had been shut off because she couldnโ€™t afford the bill, leaving them without heat. All their food had spoiled, and with just $5 left, she had nothing to feed her child. Despite working two jobs, she was still struggling to make ends meet.

Deputies Basile, Santo-Domingo, and Akens stepped in without hesitation. They took the mother and her son to Walmart, buying over $300 in groceries using donated gift cards and their own money. They also helped restore power to the home. Because of their compassion, this family had food, warmth, and hope again.

Kindness matters and these deputies made a real difference when it was needed most. ๐Ÿ’™

An activist Biden-appointed judge has ordered an illegal alien wanted for MURDER RELEASED from ICE custody.

Bryan Rafael Gomez is a criminal illegal alien from the Dominican Republic with an international warrant for homicide.

This is yet another example of an activist judge trying to thwart President Trumpโ€™s mandate from the American people to remove dangerous criminal illegal aliens from our nation.
