What started as a planned weekend event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway didnβt stay at the track.
As crowds left sanctioned events, some attempted to take over intersections across the valley β putting drivers, spectators, and the community at risk.
π₯ In this video:
A vehicle takes over an intersection at Tropical Parkway and Celebration Way around 12:30 a.m. on April 26, 2026, as a crowd gathers. Our air unit tracks the suspect vehicle from above⦠until the car crashes. Officers move in and take the suspects into custody.
This is exactly what our enforcement operation was designed to stop.
Over a three-day, zero-tolerance operation:
βͺοΈ 77 arrests (66 adults, 11 juveniles)
βͺοΈ 59 vehicles towed/impounded
βͺοΈ 10+ attempted takeover locations disrupted
βͺοΈ 19 out-of-state participants identified
βͺοΈ 4 firearms recovered
This was a coordinated effort:
πΉ North Las Vegas Police Department cleared reckless groups in their jurisdiction
πΉ Nevada State Police targeted I-15 corridors, stopping βrolling racesβ and dangerous high-speed activity
Street takeovers arenβt entertainment β theyβre dangerous, illegal, and put lives at risk.
If you choose to participate, expect enforcement.

He wanted to limit what we ask, banning questions about issues that came up about him in February.
We would not agree to those terms.

NEW: Today, Christopher, Deyanna, and Paige Ostrouchko were indicted by a grand jury for allegedly assaulting journalist and Turning Point USA contributor Savannah Hernandez, while she was lawfully reporting on anti-ICE protests outside a federal building in St. Paul.
Hernandez was allegedly surrounded, physically assaulted, and shoved to the ground β simply because she was identified by the defendants as a conservative journalist. That is NOT βpeaceful protest.β These deplorable actions as charged in the indictment will not be tolerated in America, and this Department of Justice will always punish unhinged acts of political violence.
Acting AG Todd Blanche

Two Grappler deployments = two dangerous individuals taken into custody.
First up β on the 18th officers attempted to stop a vehicle with no license plates at East Mississippi and South Moline. But, the vehicle fled. The driver began driving recklessly and at one point threw an empty beer bottle out of the vehicle.
Thatβs when our Grappler comes in.
A successful deployment resulted in 50-year-old Jose Holguin taken into custody without further incident.
Inside his vehicle we found an unrestrained bulldog (poor thing!) in the back seat and an open, nearly empty bottle of vodka. Holguin was arrested on suspicion of vehicular eluding, animal cruelty, driving without a license, without insurance and operating an unregistered vehicle. He also had multiple warrants.
Round twoβ‘οΈ
On April 27, officers got a flock hit of a stolen vehicle near 6th and Potomac. Officers followed the vehicle using our city cameras and found the vehicle getting gas. No joke.
As soon as the vehicle pulled out of the gas station, we attempted to pull the driver over, but we guess they wanted to see the Grappler deployed too because they did not comply.
A pursuit was initiated and a Grappler was deployed as the driver got onto I-225.
36-year-old Rebecca Bradshaw was taken into custody without incident and good lord, girl, in the back of the stolen car we also found multiple baggies containing:
β’Methamphetamine
β’Cocaine
β’Pills believed to be counterfeit oxycodone containing fentanyl-related substances
β’A scale and materials commonly used for drug distribution
Bradshaw is now facing charges of motor vehicle theft, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute and oh also, she had two active warrants.
These situations could have ended very differently.
The Grappler isnβt just another tool in our toolbelt to help hold offenders accountable. It helps to stop a fleeing vehicle quickly and safely, reducing the risk to everyone on the road.

Los Angeles Controller Kenneth Mejia says theyβve found fraud and abuse
- A single homeless service provider gave fake documents and invoices, stealing $23 million for taxpayers
- Another nonprofit named the Skid Row Housing Trust that managed 29 buildings was letting the properties rot. This ended up costing the city of Los Angeles $30-$40 million dollars in repairs
He says the have a batch of 800 more cases and theyβre βgoing to be expensiveβ
The fraud and money laundering is insane

Today's 6-3 Supreme Court decision in the Callais case is a BIG WIN for Equal Protection under the Law, as it returns the Voting Rights Act to its Original Intent, which was to protect against intentional Racial Discrimination.
