A homeowner in the Inland Empire got a security alert from their front-door camera, but it turns out it wasn't exactly an intruder or a porch pirate.

Texas: "There has not been any damage or fire reported at the gas plant on the northside of the City. There was a reported fire in the 800 block of North Avenue B at the beginning of the storm," according to City of Springtown officials.

An off-duty Harris County Sheriff's deputy was shot while asleep in his residence in what appears to be a random act of violence. He was transported to a local hospital and underwent surgery He’s recovering and in fair condition. We are grateful for EMS and all hospital personnel.

This deputy is a three-year veteran assigned to our Patrol Division. We ask that you keep him and his family in your prayers.

We are working closely with our partners at the Houston Police Department as they investigate this case.

My thoughts on the security at the WHCD last night.

The first exterior security for me was on the street outside of the hotel. I flashed my ticket and was waved through in one second. My name was not checked against any list, I showed no ID, I was not patted down and did not go through a metal detector. I probably could have shown a ticket from a prior year or a fake one as they barely looked at it. (I don't know who that exterior security was, they were guys in suits).

From that point, I walked into the hotel with no further security check, and I walked down to the Fox pre-party where there were multiple ballrooms that were absolutely PACKED with attendees. Still did not go through any security at that point.

Hypothetically, If I had hidden an explosive in my shoe or my jacket, I would have had no problem getting into one of those ballrooms.

Only once it was time to get into the main ballroom for the dinner did we pass through magnetometers, empty our pockets, and get a pat down. And even that checkpoint was just outside of the dinner room.

Two things can be true at the same time.

Secret Service reacted quickly to an active armed threat and prevented that threat from getting into the ballroom. But the security leading up to that point, in my opinion, appeared to be lacking severely.

JUST IN: Officials have identified the Chicago police officer killed in a shooting at Endeavor Health Swedish Hospital.

CPD Officer John Bartholomew, 38, (10 year vet, Albany district), was identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office on Sunday morning.

CPD 57 year old officer Daniel Ruiz( 21 year vet) currently in critical condition fighting for his life.. 🙏🏻

The felon who took his life is a career criminal who was free because of the BS policy favoring criminals in Illinois.

This needs to stop NOW!!!!

What was supposed to be a fun night at the WHCA dinner with President Trump delivering jokes and celebrating free speech was hijacked by a depraved crazy person who sought to assassinate the President and kill as many top Trump administration officials as possible. 

I was with President Trump and the First Lady back stage after we were quickly ushered to safety by Secret Service.

President Trump was truly fearless, but as he said last night, this political violence needs to end.

Thank you to law enforcement for keeping all of us safe, including the brave agent who took a bullet to the chest and immediately moved to neutralize the shooter.

BREAKING OVERNIGHT: At least 9 people injured in a shooting near Indiana University last night.

NEWS RELEASE: On April 26, 2026, at approximately 12:25 a.m., Bloomington Police Department (BPD) officers were stationed in the 400 block of East Kirkwood Avenue, monitoring a large crowd that had gathered in the street. Officers heard what they believed to be multiple gunshots, and the crowd began scattering.

Officers immediately converged on the area and located multiple wounded individuals. It was originally believed that up to nine individuals had been injured as a result of the gunfire, but it is now believed that five individuals were actually injured by gunfire, and the others were injured as they attempted to run from the area. These injuries included cuts and scrapes from falling while running, etc.

The individuals currently known to have suffered injuries as a result of the gunfire include the following:
-20-year-old female (Plainfield), one bullet wound to upper torso and also struck by bullet fragments in side of torso
-18-year-old female (South Bend), embedded bullet fragments in ankle and shin
-22-year-old female (South Bend), embedded bullet fragments in back of thigh
-17-year-old female (Indianapolis), embedded bullet fragments in foot and ankle
-21-year-old female (Indianapolis), embedded bullet fragments in shins and thighs

It is not known if any of the injured individuals are currently students at Indiana University.

At this time, investigators have reviewed the submitted cell phone footage and video footage from nearby businesses. It is believed that a fight broke out between two females near the front of the Five Guys restaurant on Kirkwood Avenue. During the fight, multiple individuals can be seen drawing handguns, and it is believed that two separate individuals then fired their weapons. At that point, everyone began running from the scene. Officers then rushed to the area and began looking for victims.

It is now unknown if a man later located at a gas station in the 200 block of West 17th Street received his injuries as a result of the shooting on Kirkwood Avenue.

The investigation remains ongoing, and anyone with video footage of the incident or information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Chris Scott at 812-339-4477.

I saw it last night, saw there were few anomalies (bike), but could not find a source, so I did not post, hoping I’d get more clarity in the morning. Morning came, and still nothing.

FINAL JUDGEMENT:
I suspect the image of Cole is real, but his shirt is AI manipulated to show IDF. That is where I stand unless something different changes.
