A local Florida man has been caught red-handed cutting break lines on several electric scooters in Fort Lauderdale. The man, who local police identified as Randal Thomas Williams, 59, has been accused of vandalizing a number of scooters in the Florida city. In a statement, Fort Lauderdale Police Department said it had been investigating the vandalism of 140 scooters over a six-month period when the arrest was made. In an effort to solve the mystery officers this weekend carried out a stakeout of the area around the 1200-block of East Broward Boulevard in the city. 👮🏻‍♂️ #FLPD

A World War II-era bomber plane has crashed Wednesday morning at the Bradley International Airport in Windsor Lock, Connecticut. CBS affiliate WFSB reports that fire officials confirm the Boeing B-17 Bomber, knows as "The Flying Fortress," crashed at the airport and that the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection have responded. A Connecticut local of the IAFF firefighters union has tweeted this image from Bradley International Airport, saying: 'Our crews are operating at an aircraft crash.' A local fire department says the plane that crashed was a vintage Boeing B-17 bomber.🔥😱

A black police deputy says he was forced to quit after 20 years of service because he was told he had 'disgraced' his uniform by wearing an afro wig while directing traffic on his last week on the job. Atlanta cop Antonio Perryman said he had wanted to 'make people happy' and 'do something a little different' as he reached retirement after two decades with the force. But the DeKalb County deputy said he was shocked to receive a late night call, hours after his last shift, from one of his superiors telling him the wig had 'upset' the sheriff and 'disgraced the uniform'. He told WSB TV his records will now not reflect he retired, adding: 'My plan was to finish with the DeKalb County Sheriff's Office with 20 years of service and I got robbed from that.'
