Nevada: A Henderson police officer has been hospitalized after a crash Tuesday morning, according to the department.
The crash was reported around 7:44 a.m. on westbound Windmill Lane over the 215 Beltway. The officer was working as part of the Southern Nevada Traffic Task Force when he was hit by a Ford Edge SUV.
The officer suffered serious injuries, but Henderson Police say he is expected to survive and make a full recovery.
The other driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

BREAKING: A massive 75+ vehicle pileup has shut down I-70 near the Eisenhower Tunnel in Colorado, with multiple injuries reported.

As of approximately 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, a massive pileup involving an estimated 75 or more vehicles has forced the closure of Interstate 70 in both directions near the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnels.

The crash occurred primarily on the Highway 6 East on-ramp to I-70 East at mile marker 216, near the Loveland Ski Area.

The highway is closed westbound at the Eisenhower Tunnel and eastbound at milepost 205 (Silverthorne).

Colorado State Patrol (CSP) expects the closure to last for an "extended period of time" for investigation and clearing.

NEW: A fire at a Tesla sales office in New Orleans is under investigation after authorities say a suspected Molotov cocktail was used to start the blaze.

ATF officials said the device was thrown at the front door of the building early in the morning, igniting the fire.
Emergency crews responded quickly and were able to contain the flames before they spread further.
No injuries have been reported at this time.
