Celebrating Excellence: Commander Jennifer Seeto Named “Woman of the Year”

On March 9, 2026, the Los Angeles County Commission for Women hosted its 40th Anniversary “Women of the Year” Commemorative Ruby Celebration Gala at the historic Biltmore Hotel. This year’s gala, themed “Moving Forward Together: Women Educating and Inspiring Generations,” also marked the 50th anniversary of the Commission’s advocacy for women across Los Angeles County.

Among the distinguished honorees was our very own Commander Jennifer Seeto. This prestigious award recognizes women who have made exceptional contributions to their communities and professional fields, demonstrating a tireless commitment to the well-being of others.

The Women of the Year award is one of the highest honors bestowed by the County. It highlights individuals who bridge the gap between policy and community impact. For the Department, this recognition underscores our commitment to diverse leadership and community-integrated policing.
