BREAKING: Multiple people shot at Virginia Beach oceanfront, Virginia.
Shortly before 10 p.m., Virginia Beach police officers responded to reports of gunfire in the 1400 block of Atlantic Avenue.
Upon arrival, officers located multiple gunshot victims.
Victims have since been transported to area hospitals, according to officials. The number of victims, and the severity of injuries, is unknown at this time.
It is believed that there is no ongoing threat to the public at this time, and suspect information is being gathered, according to Virginia Beach Police.
It is unclear what led to the shooting at this time. Anyone with information is encouraged to reach out to the Virginia Beach Police Department.
