Praying for the Johnson County Deputy who was shot in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏻

Texas: A suspect died, and a deputy was injured after the suspect started shooting while deputies were responding to a reported structure fire in Johnson County early Wednesday morning, officials said.

The Johnson County Sheriff's Office initially said at about 3 a.m., deputies were called to the 5400 block of County Road 605 in Burleson, along with local fire crews, to a structure fire. When they arrived, shots were fired at first responders, and one deputy was hit in the face by shrapnel while using a ballistic shield, authorities said.

The deputy who was injured by shrapnel during the exchange was transported to a hospital and later released.
The investigation is ongoing, with the Texas Rangers as the lead department in the case.

Two heroes lost in the line of duty.

On April 4, Fire Chief Jeffory L. Buck, 52, and Assistant Fire Chief Robert R. Shick, Jr., 50, tragically lost their lives during a search-and-rescue mission in Berks County, Pennsylvania. While searching for a missing woman, their UTV was struck head-on by a swerving Toyota Camry. Despite immediate medical attention, both firefighters succumbed to their injuries.

These brave men, loved and respected in their community, dedicated their lives to saving others. The loss has left a void in the hearts of their families, colleagues, and all who knew them.
