Oregon: TriMet Transit Police have arrested a 48-year-old man accused of stealing brass plates from TriMet MAX platforms.

Based on the preliminary investigation, between March 17 and March 19, 2026, TriMet reported someone unscrewing multiple large brass plates and stealing them. These alleged thefts occurred from several MAX stations along North Interstate Avenue.

NEW: Secret Service confronted an individual a few blocks from the White House this afternoon after that person made a “threatening statement” to one Secret Service officer. I observed a number of agents sprinting towards the individual before detaining her.

Spokesman Nate Herring tells Daily Wire: “Just after 2pm this afternoon, an individual approached a Secret Service Uniformed Division officer and made a threatening statement toward that officer. The individual was detained and will be transported for a mental health evaluation. At no point was there a threat directed toward a protectee or the White House.”

After Gavin Newsom signed SB 960 in 2022, which allows non US citizens to become police officers in California, Belmont police officer Felipe Gomes, a Brazilian citizen with a history of domestic violence, was arrested for rape of someone unable to give consent due to a mental disorder.

Officer Involved Shooting on March 25, 2026 on Bonita Drive

On March 25, 2026, at approximately 9:38 p.m., FWPD Northwest division officers were dispatched to an unrelated domestic disturbance call at the 4200 block of Bonita Drive. Officers arrived in the area and observed a male suspect shooting a gun in the street. Officers confronted the suspect and ordered him to drop the gun. The suspect did not obey commands and continued to advance toward officers. An officer fired his gun and struck the suspect.  Officers immediately provided medical aid to the male suspect until the Fort Worth Fire Department arrived and transported him to an area hospital. The male suspect is in stable condition at the time of this posting. No officers or other individuals were injured.

White County K9 Apollo survived a shootout after being grazed by a bullet, just under his nose.

"We appreciate all the well wishes for our K9 Apollo.

The bullet traveled down his snout, tearing open his upper lip and destroying his electronic collar. He also had an injury on the top of his head, perhaps from being struck with the suspect's handgun. Apollo's lip was repaired at Searcy Animal Clinic, and aside from some shaved spots and a tender lip, he is in good spirits."

BREAKING: Bullet used to kill Charlie Kirk did NOT match rifle allegedly used by suspect Tyler Robinson, new court filing claims.

Robinson, 22, is facing capital murder charges and a potential death sentence for Kirk's murder at Utah Valley University on September 10.
