He served our community with dedication, professionalism, and heart for more than 32 years.

This week, he passed away after a hard fought battle with occupational cancer. We extend our thoughts and support to his family, friends, and fellow firefighters during this difficult time.

On March 18, HSI Riverside conducted an enforcement operation that resulted in the seizure of 11.63 kilograms (Approximately 117,944 pills) of M30 Fentanyl Pills in the city of Riverside, CA. Two arrests were made and are pending Federal prosecution.

NEW: At approximately 7:35pm on March 22nd, 2026, Los Angeles Police Department officers responded to a large street takeover along Broadway Street between Adams Boulevard and Washington Boulevard in Los Angeles.

Authorities reported more than 100 vehicles filled the main roadway and surrounding side streets, with drivers and motorcyclists performing stunts.

LAPD’s Specialized Response Team responded and was able to disperse the crowd within approximately 30 minutes. No arrests were reported.

Following the incident, the streets were left covered in debris and trash.

The investigation remained ongoing.

BREAKING: The historic Floyd County Courthouse is currently on fire in downtown Rome, Georgia.

The Floyd County Historic Courthouse was evacuated after a fire was discovered in the building around 2:20 p.m. on Monday.

All employees inside were safely evacuated, according to Floyd County Manager Jamie McCord. Crews with the Rome-Floyd County Fire Department are currently on scene working to contain the blaze. Roads in the downtown area are blocked and police are evacuating portions of Broad Street.

The courthouse was undergoing renovations at the time of the fire. At this time, the cause remains unknown and is under investigation.

WATCH: Nevada sheriff talks controversy over not releasing suspect despite judge's order.

Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill is now at the center of controversy after refusing to release a suspect into electronic monitoring, seemingly defying a Las Vegas judge's order.

McMahill and the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department have petitioned the Nevada Supreme Court to uphold what they say is the sheriff's legal authority to decide who can be placed into LVMPD's monitoring program.

The sheriff sat down with News 3's Cristen Drummond to talk about the controversy, his concerns about the judicial system handling the "worst of the worst," and why he believes Nevada state law is on his side.

NEW: A fireball was observed by witnesses in the western U.S. on Sunday night, March 22. The meteor was first spotted above the California town of Chowchilla. It traveled south at 35,000 mph before disintegrating above Calflax. This fireball does not appear to be related to other recent bright meteors.
