New polling suggests that Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass is in an uphill re-election battle, an Emerson/Inside California Politics survey finding that Bass is polling at just 19.5% with less than three months ahead of the June election. In second? Media entrepreneur and reality TV star Spencer Pratt, who became a civic force after he lost his home in the deadly Palisades Fire.

BREAKING: The Senate Homeland Security Committee just voted 8-7 to favorably move Sen. Markwayne Mullin's (R-OK) confirmation for DHS Secretary out of committee and to the full Senate.

Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) voted no.
Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) voted yes.

All others party lines.

NEW: 190 House Democrats voted against a bill today that would make non citizens eligible for deportation if they are convicted of harming police animals, including dogs & horses.

All Republicans voted yes.

The Gwinnett County Police Department, Georgia, is saddened to share the unexpected passing of one of its own, Jessica “Jessie” Reynolds, on March 13, 2026. Jessie dedicated more than 20 years of service to this department and the community.
She began her career in September 2005 as a Teleserve Operator and quickly became more than just a coworker to those around her. Jessie was known for her compassion and her genuine love for helping people. She had a way of connecting with others, whether it was someone on the other end of the phone or a teammate who needed support.
Jessie was strong in her faith, loved singing at church, and was a proud aunt who spoke often about her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her coworkers outside of work, and making memories with the people she cared about most.
Her coworkers describe her in one word: compassion. Jessie’s kindness and giving spirit made a lasting impact on everyone who knew her. She will be greatly missed.

Rest Easy Sister. Prayers for her family of blue and blood.🙏🏻
