BREAKING: ELDERLY PAROLE GRANTED TO CONVICTED CHILD MOLESTER GREGORY VOGELSANG
The California Board of Parole Hearings has granted elderly parole to 57βyearβold Gregory Vogelsang, a sexually violent predator who was sentenced to over 350 years in prison for crimes committed against children in Citrus Heights.
Between 1995 and 1997, Vogelsang molested at least six boys between the ages of 5 and 11. Investigators determined he used grooming tactics to gain access to children by building trust with parents, inviting boys to sleepovers, buying them gifts, and taking them on outings before abusing that trust.
In one case, a child reported Vogelsang persuaded him to get into his vehicle under the pretense of helping pick out a gift. The child was driven to a residence and repeatedly assaulted despite crying and asking him to stop.
Another victim spent the night at Vogelsangβs home nearly every weekend for years because he was friends with Vogelsangβs family. During those visits, the abuse occurred repeatedly over an extended period of time.
During the investigation, deputies located boysβ underwear in Vogelsangβs possession. He admitted they belonged to his victims and stated he kept them for sexual stimulation.
Psychological evaluations later documented that Vogelsang acknowledged he remains primarily sexually attracted to boys between the ages of 5 and 11. He also admitted that as recently as 2020 he was still masturbating to fantasies about young boys.
Even after determining that he was a greater risk to the public than 80% of other sexual offenders, the Board of Parole Hearings granted Vogelsang elderly parole.
Watch the full press conference for additional details.

FLOTUS delivers remarks at the White House Women's History Month celebration: "To all of the young women, entrepreneurs, and future leaders: Make time for yourself, educate yourself daily, and spread your passion. Be courageous, and take risks. Advance your profession through inspiration. Be a bold chief executive, while keeping your familyβif you choose soβat the center of your nationβs future."
POTUS: "I want to send our love to the Michigan Jewish community and all of the people in the Detroit area following the attack on the Jewish synagogue earlier today. I've been fully briefed β and it's a terrible thing... We're going to be right down to the bottom of it." π
POTUS honors Women's History Month: "Going all the way back to our nation's founding in 1776, America has been strengthened beyond measure by the courage, by the spirit, love, devotion... [of] all of these incredible women who have served our nation, uplifted our communities, pioneered new industries, and been the heart and soul of the American family."
POTUS: While we're here to celebrate Women's History Month, we're also celebrating National Working Moms Day...Since I took office, we've created 300k jobs now filled by American women...to support working moms, last year, we passed the largest tax cuts in American history.
North Carolina waitress speaks about what POTUS' tax cut means for her as a working single mother: "This year, I had to do a double take. I had to do my taxes twice to make sure this was real. I couldn't believe it."
Nora Pruitt, a Baltimore resident and working mom at Marlin Steel: "With the Big Beautiful Bill, we were able to buy one of the most expensive tools our factory's ever bought... it totally changed our lives. We were able to buy a 5 bedroom home on an acre of land."
Wife of a second-generation Virginia farmer: "Your support of American agriculture through your changes and updates of the Estate tax relief for family farms has allowed families like mine the opportunity to ensure that my daughters can farm one day." β€οΈ
Clay County, FL Sheriff Michelle Cook: With POTUS' No Tax on Overtime, families can now recognize additional dollars from their hard work...up to $25,000 back in the pockets of hardworking Americans who work overtime...Thank you for that, because it is making a difference.
U.S. Olympic Bobsledder Kaillie Humphries speaks at the White House Women's History Month event, gives POTUS her Olympic Order of Ikkos medal:
"I want to recognize the support and the impact you've had on womenβs sports throughout the olympic movement, specifically standing up to keep biological women in womenβs sports, to keep the field of play safe, and allow for fair competition. Furthermore, because your policies are creating greater access to IVF, so families like mine can continue to grow as I look to [expand] my family again."
