I just spoke to Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, of Australia, concerning the Iranian National Women’s Soccer Team. He’s on it! Five have already been taken care of, and the rest are on their way. Some, however, feel they must go back because they are worried about the safety of their families, including threats to those family members if they don’t return. Seventh US service member killed in Iran conflict identified as 26-year-old Sgt. Benjamin Pennington of Kentucky.

Sgt. Benjamin N. Pennington, 26, died after an attack at Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia on March 1. He was stationed at a strategic radar site that supports missile defense early warning systems.

NEW: Shaun Hampton named new Rancho Cordova police chief.

Shaun Hampton is now the chief of police in the city of Rancho Cordova. Hampton brings more than 25 years of law enforcement experience to the job and is no stranger to the department he will now lead. Earlier in his career, he served with the Rancho Cordova Police Department as both a patrol sergeant and patrol lieutenant, giving him firsthand knowledge of the community and the agency’s operations.

DC Police Union sadly announced the passing of Third District Sergeant Jerry Reyes after a long, courageous battle against a serious illness.

Sgt. Reyes served the Metropolitan Police Department with honor for over 21 years. He will be remembered for his unwavering commitment to D.C. and for always lifting up his fellow officers.

Indiana: Two men shot near 16th and Ritter this evening. One of them is in critical condition. Indianapolis police say nobody is talking about what happened. They're hoping someone will come forward with information.

The Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office extends our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends, and colleagues of former Sheriff Milton Wright, who has passed away.

Sheriff Wright was born in Rogers, Texas, and dedicated his life to service. He first served our country in the United States Navy before beginning a distinguished career in law enforcement with the Texas Department of Public Safety in 1961. During his tenure, he served with the Texas Highway Patrol and the Driver License Division before earning promotion to the elite ranks of the Texas Rangers in 1981.

After retiring from the Texas Rangers in 1995, Wright continued his commitment to public safety by serving the people of Fort Bend County as Sheriff from 1997 through 2012. His leadership and dedication left a lasting impact on the agency and the community he faithfully served.

Sheriff Wright’s legacy of service, professionalism, and commitment to justice will not be forgotten.

It is with deep sorrow that the North Kingstown Police Department, RI, announces the loss of Officer Brittany Dougal, who tragically died by suicide after battling mental illness.

Officer Dougal graduated from the Rhode Island Municipal Police Training Academy, 145th Class (2025-II), on December 19, 2025. During her time at the academy, she earned the respect of the academy staff for her dedication and heart, graduating second academically in her class.

Following her graduation, Officer Dougal was sworn in as a North Kingstown Police Officer on December 22, 2025, and began the Field Training Evaluation Program. In the short time she served with our department, her field training officers recognized her commitment and the promise of a successful career.
