Los Alamitos DJ who played kids’ parties raped unconscious teen, prosecutors say

A 32-year-old disc jockey who performed at children’s parties was charged with drugging and raping a teen girl and having hundreds of images of child sex abuse materials, Orange County prosecutors announced Monday, March 2.

Glenn Canyon Childers of Los Alamitos was charged with rape of an unconscious person, rape by use of drugs, and possession of child pornography, all felonies, as well as seven misdemeanor counts of possession of a controlled substance, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.

“Crimes of sexual violence will never be tolerated and we as a society must send a strong message that no child is a sexual object,” said Orange County District Attorney Todd Spitzer in a news release, “and those individuals who prey on children for their own sexual gratification will be identified, they will be arrested, and they will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.”

Los Alamitos police received a report on Aug. 31, 2025, regarding a 17-year-old girl who was given illegal drugs and then sexually assaulted, and they identified Childers as a suspect in the case, prosecutors said.

Police arrested Childers at his home on Feb. 24. He was released on a $100,000 bond the following day.

If convicted of all counts, Childers faces a maximum sentence of eight years and eight months in state prison and one year in county jail. His arraignment is scheduled for March 26 in Westminster.

Authorities ask anyone with information about potential other victims to contact Los Alamitos Police.

POTUS: "The attack that we did known as Midnight Hammer, had we not done that, Iran would've had a very powerful nuclear weapon within one month...Barack Hussein Obama made maybe the worst deal that I've ever seen because he gave all power in the Middle East to Iran... If I didn't terminate that deal, they would be sitting with a massive nuclear weapon 3 years ago."

POTUS on the Iranian regime: "These people are crazy — and if they had a nuclear weapon, they would've used it."

THE REAL STORY: Law enforcement REPEATEDLY ordered David Black and his fellow agitators to leave federal property and stop obstructing federal law enforcement from carrying out lawful operations.

They did not comply. Shortly after, rioters began throwing rocks, bottles, and launching fireworks at law enforcement officers.

At the time of this incident, the facility they were rioting outside of held criminal illegal aliens including gang members, drug traffickers, and other violent criminals. Obstructing law enforcement puts officers, detainees and the public at risk. Our officers followed their training to protect themselves and the public.

Daniel Shown, a Department of Public Safety trooper who was shot in the head in 1988 and who inspired legislation that benefitted other injured troopers, died Friday from long-term complications from his injury.

Shown responded with other officers to a report of a drunken, 63-year-old man who had threatened his daughter and infant granddaughter with a shotgun and then barricaded himself in his home near West.
Shown and the officers were met with gunfire from the home shortly after their arrival. Shown was struck in the forehead, resulting in the loss of his right eye and permanent paralysis on the left side of his body. He was medically retired from the DPS in December 1988.

Shown struggled with multiple health complications over the years, as well as financial struggles.

Shown was awarded the Purple Heart award in 2011 by the Texas Public Safety Commission.

Prayers for the U.S Marshals officer who was shot in the line of duty last night.🙏🏻

Florida: A United States Marshals Service Marshal was injured and a suspect hospitalized after a shooting Monday night in Vero Beach. The incident involved deputies from two counties and a federal officer during a tactical takedown of a suspect with a Colorado warrant. According to the Indian River County Sheriff's Office, the suspect fired shots when officers moved to take him into custody, leading to officers returning fire. The Marshal was struck in the leg but is expected to recover. The male suspect sustained life-threatening injuries.

NEW: The USMC base at Camp Pendleton in Southern California has elevated its base security protocols to FPCON Bravo, meaning “an increased or more predictable threat of terrorism attack or hostile act exists and is directed against DoD elements and personnel.”

"At around 4:52 pm reports of a person down came out on southbound I-5 near Las Pulgas. On arrival, first responders located a person down who appeared to have been changing a tire when they were struck by a vehicle.

Due to the severity of the injuries, a helicopter was requested and landed on the freeway to transport the patient to a trauma center.

At this time, it appears the driver of the vehicle that struck the individual remained on scene. The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

BREAKING: Travis County District Attorney Jose Garza is bringing CRIMINAL CHARGES against the hero APD officers who handled the mass shooter at Buford's on West 6th Street Saturday night.

"It’s clarified in the thread - but there are NOT criminal charges currently being brought against the officers. It’s still early on in the internal investigation so it hasn’t even been referred to the District Attorney yet as all officer involved shootings are.

However, the DA seems to still intend to put this before a grand jury where anything can happen as the DA controls that process and doesn’t allow APD involvement.

This is an extraordinary case and I believe sufficient information is already out there to show grand jury isn’t necessary. There’s no need to subject these officers to that especially since it’s taking the DA over a year in almost every case to present these to the grand jury. That’s way too long and added stress for officers who have already been through a lot."

ICYMI: United Flight 2127 during the emergency evacuation at LAX. The United Airlines plane bound for New Jersey returned to Los Angeles International Airport after takeoff Monday morning due to an engine problem.

United flight 2127 safely returned to Los Angeles to address a possible engine fire - United said in a statement. Customers deplaned via slides and airstairs and were bused to the terminal. "We are grateful to our pilots and flight attendants for their quick actions to keep our customers safe."
