Karoline Leavitt on President Trump's State of the Union address: "His speech is going to be a celebration of the 250th year of America's independence... and POTUS is of course going to tout his administration's record-setting accomplishments over the past year, while laying out an ambitious agenda to continue making the American Dream more attainable and affordable for working class people across the country."
PressSec says guests for tonight's SOTU include children from FLOTUS' Fostering the Future initiative, military heroes, and everyday Americans who benefited from POTUS' historic tax cut and Most Favored Nation drug pricing through http://TrumpRx.gov
PressSec: "We encourage all Americans in Mexico to of course adhere to the guidance provided by the StateDept... and the Mexican drug cartels know not to lay a finger on a single American or they will pay severe consequences under this POTUS."
PressSec on the recent Nor'easter: "We know that FEMA is out on the ground working with state and local authorities, and they will continue to do so β although, it's very unfortunate FEMA continues to be defunded right now because of Democrat politicians here in Congress."

The Bernalillo County Sheriffβs Office is devastated to announce the line of duty death of Sergeant Michael Schlattman, who died last night as a result of injuries sustained during a traffic stop on Interstate 40 eastbound near the 170.
Sergeant Schlattman was hired by the Bernalillo County Sheriffβs Office on April 16, 2012, and was promoted to Sergeant on July 13, 2024. During his career, he served the people of Bernalillo County in multiple assignments, including time as a detective in Special Investigations and Auto Theft, and as a task force officer with the United States Marshals Service and the Drug Enforcement Administration. At the time of his death, Sergeant Schlattman was assigned as a Sergeant in the East Mountains.
This is a heartbreaking loss for the Schlattman family, the Bernalillo County Sheriffβs Office, and the entire community we serve.
Sergeant Schlattman was the kind of leader deputies hope for and families trust. He was known for being present, involved, and relentless in his support of others. He was not a supervisor who stayed behind a desk. He was consistently out in the field, finding the work, backing his deputies, answering calls for service, and pushing to be proactive. He was the steady voice and the steady presence that made everyone around him better.
Rest In Peace, Hero ππ€

Prayers are with the Christian County, Missouri law enforcement community after the loss of two deputies yesterday.ππ»
BREAKING UPDATE: A traffic stop, manhunt, and shootout Monday and Tuesday left two deputies dead and two more deputies injured in Christian County, Missouri.
Tuesday morning, law enforcement cleared the scene near the roundabout on State Highway 160, near Reeds Spring. A house and wooded area had been taped off as the crime scene.
It all started around 4 p.m. on February 23. Christian County Deputy Gabriel Ramirez pulled over Richard Bird in a traffic stop. Bird shot Ramirez and drove away. Ramirez was killed. A Blue Alert was issued as law enforcement searched for Bird and his truck.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol used a helicopter and heat mapping to find Bird in a wooded area near where his truck was spotted.
The stand-off led to a shootout around midnight on February 24. It took the life of another Christian County deputy, who has not yet been identified.
βUnfortunately, we lost two of our own tonight,β Christian County Sheriff Brad Cole said, βbut doing what they took an oath to do, loved and enjoyed, gave their life not only for citizens they served, but for other officers and deputies involved as well.β
Two more deputies, one from Christian County and one from Webster County, were injured. These injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
βLong day, trying day, upcoming days harder,β Cole said. βWe do what we have to do to make sure our citizens are safe. Thatβs what we did today, took the bad guy off the street and sent him where he needed to be.β
Bird was also killed in the gunfight.
