Last week, an alert and caring resident called to report a bucket containing six puppies left on the side of the road near Old Highway 395 and S/R 76.
The caller stayed with the puppies to keep them safe until deputies arrived. The puppies were then transported to the Fallbrook Substation and transferred to the Department of Animal Services, where they will be well cared for.
This is another reminder that no two calls are ever the same, and that looking out for one another, especially the most vulnerable, can make a difference.
A huge thank you to the citizen who made the call and stayed with the puppies. They were left on a very busy roadway, and the situation could have been extremely dangerous. Your quick action helped save six little lives.

βA woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.β
