Prayers for the Honolulu Police Officer who was seriously injured in the line of duty.🙏🏻

HPD Solo Bike Officer Struck by Impaired Driver -

On Feb. 5, 2026, at approximately 11:00 p.m., an HPD Solo Bike Officer was seriously injured in a motor vehicle collision on the H-1 West Freeway near the Kunia on-ramp. The officer was stopped at the on-ramp with blue lights activated to temporarily prevent vehicles from entering the freeway when a motorist attempted to drive around him and struck the officer. The officer was ejected onto the roadway and transported to an area hospital.

The driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested for Operating a Vehicle Under the Influence of an Intoxicant. Alcohol appears to be a contributing factor. This investigation remains ongoing.

The officer has since been released from the hospital and is recovering from home."

A dedicated officer of the Horry County Police Department (HCPD), South Carolina, he served with honor for 26 years across Horry County agencies, beginning his career at Horry County 911 before joining HCPD as an Environmental Services Officer. He passed away following a medical emergency at Conway Medical Center in Conway, South Carolina.

Described as an "accomplished officer" who brought warmth, service, and brotherhood to his department known for his cooking contributions and peer support, Eddie embodied profound character, unwavering dedication, and a commitment to uplifting those around him in law enforcement.

A Butler County Sheriff's Office , Ohio deputy was stabbed in the back while responding to a car fire Thursday afternoon in Madison Township. Officials say Deputy Mike Farthing was called to the scene around 12:45 p.m. for a vehicle fire. While he was calling for fire crews, a 41-year-old man reportedly approached him from behind and stabbed him through his vest, telling the deputy, “This is your unlucky day.” Investigators believe the suspect set the vehicle on fire, prompting the deputy’s response. A struggle followed, during which Deputy Farthing was able to hold the suspect at gunpoint as the suspect’s uncle attempted to calm him. The suspect eventually dropped the knife and was taken into custody. Deputy Farthing, who has also served as an EMT with the St. Clair Township/New Miami Life Squad for 32 years, was rushed to Atrium Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries and is listed in stable condition.
