Another round of heat will move into Southern California on Tuesday with possible record temperatures on Wednesday.
Parts of Northern California are likely to see heavy fog Monday morning, a weather pattern that has been consistent throughout this winter. The National Weather Service issued a Dense Fog Advisory that is in effect through noon. Those are issued when lower visibility could become an issue. Motorists are encouraged to use low beams, drive more slowly and give more space between other vehicles. Meteorologist Tamara Berg said once the fog fades, conditions are expected to be sunny with a light breeze.

Remember last year when Cudahy Vice-Mayor Cynthia Gonzalez called on local gang members to βdefend their turfβ against ICE?
Well the Long Beach mayor is doing the same asking gang members to meet him in front of City Hall Monday Feb 2, βto get ICE out of Long Beachβ. Letβs see who shows up because a gang member took to social after Gonzalezβs video informing the public what gang members will and wonβt do - one of which, is getting involved with ICE - and he explains why in this video. It will be interesting to see who shows up on Monday.

President Donald J. Trump: "We have the best crime numbers we've ever had. We have the lowest [murder rate] in 125 years β since they recorded... That's despite a lot of bad people coming in through the border that shouldn't be here, and we're getting them out."
"We want one thing in Minnesota... we want their prisoners. They've got jails with murderers, drug lords, rapists. They've got jails with the worst, the worst people."
POTUS discusses how much easier it is to work with red states vs. blue states: "In Memphis, crime is down 75% after about 2.5 months... Now, in Chicago, we put people there, and we brought it down but we only have a limited force because they fight us so hard... and yet, we've taken crime down 25%."
"2% of the people create 90% of the crime... so when you start moving these guys out, you have a huge impact on crime," says POTUS on Making America SAFE Again.
"They're bad people β and they'll never be good, by the way, for the liberals... Eventually, they will kill you."
POTUS: "We were laughed at a year and a half ago... you see a guy falling up the stairs going into an airplane. I've got to be very careful going in... I'm not looking to set any records. You don't want to go down. It could happen, but it can't happen 3 times in one shot." π€£
POTUS on recent displays of military excellence: "I spoke with China, he goes, 'Very impressive. Very impressive.' I spoke to Putin, he goes, 'Wow, that was something' β and that's what we want. We have to be respected."
"They have no money, they have no nothing, and they come over here and... they're able to steal more than $19B," says POTUS on Somalians in MN.
"We're right on their ass... These are people that are just not an asset to our society, to put it mildlyβand we gotta get them out."

Las Vegas: Sheriff Kevin McMahill provided an update Saturday regarding a search warrant involving a suspected biological laboratory inside a residence near Washington Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard.
This is an isolated incident and there is no threat to the public.
On January 31, 2026, at approximately 5:51 a.m., LVMPD SWAT officers served a search warrant at a home on Sugar Springs Drive in northeast Las Vegas. The warrant was based on information indicating a biological laboratory may have been inside the residence.
At the same time, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) conducted a search at a nearby home on Temple View Drive. No threat was found at that location.
Inside the Sugar Springs Drive residence, investigators located evidence of possible biological material, including refrigerators containing vials with unknown liquids.
LVMPDβs All-Hazard Regional Multi-agency Operations and Response (ARMOR) Section is working closely with the FBI, local fire departments, and other partners to ensure the safe recovery and mitigation of these items.
This remains a complex, multi-agency investigation involving numerous specialized resources. The ongoing first responder presence in the area over the past several days is part of a slow, methodical process by design. These situations are handled with extreme caution to ensure the safety of both personnel and the community.
FBI Special Agent in Charge Chris Delzotto emphasized the FBIβs role in supporting state and local partners through specialized laboratory, evidence response, scientific analysis, and technical hazards resources.
One suspect has been taken into custody. Additional information will be released today at a news conference scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
