Today, DHS law enforcement was conducting a targeted operation in Minneapolis against an illegal alien wanted for violent assault.
During the operation, an individual approached U.S. Border Patrol officers with a 9mm semi-automatic handgun. The officers attempted to disarm the suspect but the armed suspect violently resisted. Fearing for his life and the lives and safety of fellow officers, an agent fired defensive shots.
This violence is directly fueled by hateful rhetoric from Minnesota's sanctuary politicians. It must end now.

Folks, we are literally speechless and very frustrated. For the second time today and within an hour of our last trooper getting hit, IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN! Apparently the words "Slow Down" are being ignored and to be 100% transparent, our troopers are becoming frustrated with these crashes as they are preventable! Trooper is going to be ok this time, but can we please not have a "Next time" today, or any day? Oh, and yes, more tickets being written for speed too fast for the road/weather conditions.
This crash happened on I-94 near Ripley St. Also, these crashes are consistently happening eastbound, so they are drivers coming from the Illinois area where there isn't any snow falling and speeds are higher.
