⚠️Delaware: Attention Sussex County!

The Delaware State Police Troop 4 Criminal Investigations Unit is investigating a rising number of vehicle thefts from residential driveways, primarily in western Sussex County. Detectives warn that in the past week; suspects have stolen or attempted to steal several vehicles (mostly KIA and Hyundai) in the area. While some of the vehicles were unlocked, others were locked and stolen without the use of the keys.

Troopers are reminding the public to stay vigilant and report suspicious activity by calling 9-1-1.

The nation experienced the largest single-year drop in murders on record last year, alongside steep declines in rapes, robberies, aggravated assaults, shooting deaths (the fewest since 2015), on-duty law enforcement officer deaths, traffic fatalities, and overdose deaths.

The results are especially pronounced in Democrat-run jurisdictions where the Trump Administration conducted mass deportation and enhanced law enforcement operations:

📍 WASHINGTON, D.C.: Since President Trump’s crackdown began, murders declined 60%, carjackings dropped 68%, and overall crime fell by nearly a third compared to the prior year.

📍 CHICAGO: Last year, the city recorded the fewest murders since 1965, with shootings down by more than one-third.

📍 MEMPHIS: The city recorded fewer than 200 murders last year for the first time since 2019, with shootings dropping nearly 40% from the previous year.

📍 NEW ORLEANS: Last year, the homicide rate fell to its lowest level in nearly 50 years.

BREAKING: A cracked part found on UPS Flight 2976 that crashed in November in Kentucky was flagged in a Boeing service letter more than a decade earlier, the National Transportation Safety Board said on Wednesday, per Breaking Aviation News.

Fifteen people, including three plane crew members, died in the fiery crash at Louisville Airport in an incident that led to the grounding of the MD-11 cargo jet model.

The NTSB said its investigation has found fatigue cracks in a support structure on the left pylon that connects to the wing and the plane's engine, known as the bearing race.

Boeing's 2011 letter said there had been four previous failures of the bearing race in three airplanes that required visual inspections but did not consider it to be a safety-of-flight issue, the NTSB said. The part would typically be inspected every five years, Boeing's letter said.

The FAA declined to comment. Boeing said it continues to support the investigation led by the NTSB but did not comment on the letter.
