A few things need to be cleared up regarding the Philadelphia Sheriff.

First thing is she’s an elected official and not hired by the Mayor.

The Mayor has no control over her or her office (except budget)

They are not the law enforcement authority of the city. That’s Philly PD.

They do court room security, prisoner transport and fugitive arrests ( in rare cases).  They don’t enforce the law.

She’s casting a bright light on the incompetence of her office. Most of the men and women who work there are good people that want to help this city. Unfortunately if you’re not apart of her inner circle you’re treated like garbage. Most of the FOP complaints come from the 150+ Sheriff’s and not the 4k police officers.

Read the history of the office. John Green was sentenced to 5 years in prison and Jewell Williams cost the taxpayers millions in sexual harassment lawsuits. The office needs to be abolished once and for all!!

If the FBI wants to put a nail in the coffin of this office  all they need to do is examine the merger(illegal takeover) of the court warrant unit and sheriffs office in 2015.  Millions were stolen in overtime by Sheriffs that never showed up to work.  Look at the top earners in the office and how much OT they make.
