ICYMI: Border Patrol agents fired defensive shots in Portland after Tren de Aragua member tried to run them over, says DHS @police_frequency
Yesterday, two suspected Tren de Aragua gang associatesβ€”let loose on American streets by Joe Bidenβ€”weaponized their vehicle against Border Patrol in Portland. The agent took immediate action to defend himself and others, shooting them.

The driver of the vehicle, Luis David Nico Moncada is a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and suspected Tren de Aragua gang member. He illegally entered the U.S. in 2022 and was RELEASED into the country by the Biden administration. Since then, he was arrested for DUI and unauthorized use of a vehicle. He has a final order of removal.

The passenger, Yorlenys Betzabeth Zambrano-Contreras is a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela and is associated with Tren de Aragua. She illegally entered the U.S. in 2023 near El Paso, Texas, and was RELEASED into this country by the Biden administration. Since illegally entering, Contreras played an active role in a Tren de Aragua prostitution ring and was involved with a prior shooting in Portland.

Now more than ever, on this National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day, we thank and honor our heroic DHS law enforcement who protect the public.

These men and women are patriots in the truest sense. They are steady under pressure and resolute in purpose. Their sacrifice is not small - they bear endless slander from the media, and are accosted every day by those who wish to do them harm. Even so, they continue to hold the line with bravery.

Be sure today to thank those men and women in your life who have sworn an oath to protect our homeland. As we need them, they now need us.

On Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at approximately 6:36 p.m., Fontana Police officers responded to an apartment complex under construction in the 9600 block of Juniper Avenue after receiving a report of a person in crisis who was threatening to jump.
Officers safely accessed the rooftop and made contact with an adult male who was standing on a third-floor ledge. K9 Officer Wyrick established rapport and spoke with the individual for more than an hour, working calmly and patiently to encourage him to step away from the edge.
When the individual made statements indicating he was about to jump, Officer Wyrick immediately intervened, pulling him back to safety and preventing a fall. At the same time, the San Bernardino County Fire technical rescue team was already staged on scene and worked alongside officers, using a ladder truck to safely bring the individual down from the third floor. He was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for further evaluation.
This incident highlights the importance of coordinated response, clear communication, and compassion. Police officers, firefighters, and paramedics worked seamlessly together, sharing one goal: preserving life. As we recognize Law Enforcement Appreciation Day 2026, this call serves as a reminder of the dedication, patience, and teamwork displayed by first responders during moments when it matters most.
If you or someone you know is experiencing a crisis, help is available. You are not alone. The 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline is available 24 hours a day by calling or texting 988, or by chatting online at 988lifeline.org. There are people ready to listen and help.

All jokes aside, safety comes first!

California law restricts phone use while driving, even while stopped at a light or stop sign. πŸ›‘

That means: Keep it hands-free and drive safe.

βœ”οΈ You can use voice commands, bluetooth or hands-free systems.

❌ You cannot hold your phone to text, scroll, check GPS, etc., even at a light.  It’s all considered operating the device while driving.
