Louisiana: The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested the driver accused of injuring a deputy after driving away from a traffic stop in LaPlace.

Raishad Batiste was arrested on Tuesday around 3 p.m., after he was spotted at an apartment complex on Manson Avenue in Metairie.

According to the sheriff, the incident happened around noon on Sunday after Batiste was pulled over at a gas station on Airline Highway.

He is accused of driving away during the traffic stop, leading deputies on a high-speed chase, and striking a deputy's unit on Highway 51 and Main Street during the chase.

Batiste then continued driving onto Interstate 10, where the chase reached speeds of 120 mph, according to the sheriff's office.

He was also accused of driving on the highway shoulders in an attempt to avoid traffic.

Prayers for the Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy who was injured in the line of duty.🙏🏻

A  Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy was rushed to a trauma center after a late-night patrol SUV crash at a Santa Clarita intersection with another vehicle.

The crash occurred shortly before 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Tournament Road and Oak Vale Drive, where the patrol SUV collided with a sedan. 

Officials said the civilian driver was not injured in the crash.

The deputy was taken by ambulance to a nearby trauma center and was escorted by another sheriff’s SUV. 
It is unknown the condition of the sheriff’s deputy.

The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station is investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Wisconsin: A Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle was struck early Tuesday morning after an SUV failed to move over while passing a stopped emergency vehicle.

According to the sheriff’s office, shortly after 5:45 a.m. a deputy was parked along U.S. Highway 10 with emergency lights activated while providing traffic control at the scene of a crash in Fremont.

Authorities said an SUV traveling westbound at a high rate of speed struck the rear of the patrol vehicle. The deputy, who was wearing a seat belt, was transported to a nearby hospital and later released.

Please, pray the St. Johns County Sheriff’s deputy who was seriously injured in the line of duty this morning. 🙏🏻

Florida: "This morning, just after 4 a.m., a St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office patrol deputy was involved in a single-vehicle crash on CR 13 South near Hub Bailey Road in Hastings. The deputy sustained serious but non life-threatening injuries and has been transported by St. Johns County Fire Rescue to Halifax Medical Center in Daytona. The cause of the crash has not been determined.

Out of respect for the deputy and their family, their identity will not be released at this time.

There are currently no road closures or traffic delays in the area of the crash."

However, they're talking about raising that to about $60,000. So if you sold a million dollar house in California or San Diego, which is not ludicrous anymore, because that's kind of what houses cost these days, it would cost you $60,000 that you have to pay directly to the county to sell your house.

And it's really a bad thing, especially for seniors, you know, people who've bought their house when it was $25-$30,000, lived in it all their lives, and now they're transferring down to a smaller residence or even going to assisted living — they're going to have to pay an extra $60,000”
