Officer Miles joined the CMPD family on October 15, 2012. For over 13 years, he served in the Freedom Division with unwavering professionalism and dedication. Beyond his patrol duties, Officer Miles was a Patrol Training Officer, where he spent years mentoring and shaping the next generation of officers.

Before his time with CMPD, Officer Miles proudly served his country as a member of the U.S. Marine Corps.

The National Fraternal Order of Police regrets to report that as of midnight on 31 December, there have been 347 officers shot in the line of duty in 2025. Of those officers shot, 45 of them were killed.

347 Officers were shot, marking the 2nd worst year we have seen since GLFOP began tracking this data years ago.

This marks the 6th year in a row with over 300 officers shot in America.
