No two shifts are ever the same for our Traffic Enforcement officers. Take a ride with Officer Scott Tucker, a.k.a. Traffic Tucker, as he enforces safe driving habits.

Officer Tucker stopped speeders and those who were driving without a seatbelt. We lost 166 people in traffic fatalities on Jacksonville roads in 2024.  Wearing your seatbelt and driving the speed limit are easy ways to avoid losing your life.

Drive safe, Duval!

January 1: Rebuilding public trust with counterintelligence:

Our FBI Counterintelligence Division has been on the cutting edge of the FBI’s priority to rebuild public trust through increased transparency, accessibility, and responsiveness to Congressional oversight.

Traditionally, FBI counterintelligence has operated in the shadows, rarely publicizing and promoting their initiatives and arrests. This year, however, we’ve directed the FBI to be as transparent as possible.

Our counterintelligence team, together with our Office of Congressional Affairs, released hundreds of documents and provided numerous briefings to Congress, and they continue to work with our Congressional oversight committees. Proactive transparent information sharing benefits all parties and helps to highlight our longstanding efforts to crack down on both traditional and emerging counterintelligence threats impacting the American people and our economy, to include smuggling dangerous biological materials into and out of the United States and our adversaries’ transnational repression efforts to intimidate individuals living in our country. We look forward to even more robust engagement next year.

To increase transparency, our counterintelligence team worked together with our own FBI Office of Public Affairs and TheJusticeDept to publicize counterintelligence casework in over 50 press releases this year alone. Each release, whether highlighting an arrest, indictment, or sentencing, demonstrated the FBI’s commitment to collaborate with our federal, state, and local partners to bring bad counterintelligence actors to justice, and increase awareness to the American people.

The results speak for themselves:

- 35% increase in Espionage arrests
- 1,800+ gangs and criminal enterprises disrupted - 210% increase
- 40,000+ pages turned over to Congress in just one year - approximately 4x the times the total number turned over under previous leadership, in a fraction of the time
- Four of the FBI’s Ten Most Wanted fugitives captured - as many captured in one year as during the previous four years total

Moving into 2026, know that this FBI remains committed to transparency to the public and Congress, increased partnerships at all levels, expanded outreach, and above all, protecting the American people and upholding the Constitution.

UPDATE: A box full of abandoned NYPD uniforms was discovered on 37th Street and 9th Avenue by a Boropark24 reporter, after Zohran Mamdani sworn-in as the 112th Mayor of New York City.

The box was found opened, with uniforms spilling out onto the street. Shomrim and NYPD were called. Officers responded and confirmed the clothing was authentic and belonged to a member with many years on the job, based on the different department uniforms found inside.

It’s "unknown" why the uniforms were dumped in this manner or who left them there.
