Last week, each of our patrol canines received a K9 Storm ballistic vest β€” a vital upgrade that enhances their safety while serving our community.

This milestone was made possible thanks to the incredible generosity of a private donor and the unwavering support of the Honorary Deputy Sheriff Association (HDSA).

Thank you for helping us protect those who protect us. πŸ’™πŸ•β€πŸ¦ΊπŸΎ

The Third Annual Christmas toy drive took place on December 16th.. The police department bought toys and received donations to help children and families who may not be able to afford gifts during the holiday season and to strengthen trust and positive relationships between the police and the community.

More specifically, these toy drives aim to:
β€’ 🎁 Provide toys and gifts to children from low-income families so they can experience joy during the holidays
β€’ 🀝 Build goodwill and connection between officers and the community they serve
β€’ ❀️ Show care and support, reminding families they’re not alone during a stressful time of year
β€’ 🌟 Create positive experiences with police, especially for kids, helping humanize officers beyond enforcement roles

We don't get it. People were throwing hands in Costco for Charmin, but willingly to bend their knee in the name of tolerance.

Before the month ends, we pause to honor retired Officer Randy Adams, who passed away on December 5, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer.

"Randy served the Anaheim community with honor for more than 21 years, from March 31, 2000, until his retirement on August 2, 2021. His dedication to public service and law enforcement left a lasting impact on all who had the privilege to serve alongside him."

The City of Los Angeles adopted a homelessness budget of about $1.3 billion per year from 2023-2024. A separate independent audit (commissioned by a federal judge in early 2025) reviewed $2.4 billion in city funding and found it "nearly impossible" to track where much of it went. In addition to that, Santa Monica’s annual spending on homelessness programs and services has been reported at roughly $40 – $43 million per year; roughly 1/3rd of the budget for the Police Department. Someone needs to investigate this further.
