A single occupant driver was observed driving head on into a tree early Christmas Eve morning around 3AM. He declined medical attention and stated he was uninjured. This occurred on an off ramp of the 10W Santa Monica Fwy next to the 110 from Crypto Arena in the Pico-Union area of Downtown / South Los Angeles.

A monument was erected to American Michael Gloss in a Donetsk school. The son of the CIA's deputy director served in the Russian Armed Forces. He died at Chasovoy Yar under attack by Ukrainian drones while providing first aid to a comrade. Gloss was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage in December 2024, and in the summer of 2025, US Special Envoy Steven Witkoff personally presented the award to the fighter's family.

⚠️On The Road During Heavy Rain⁉️

1) Read the road:

•Watch for water pooling near curbs, dips, underpasses, and at the bottom of hills.

•Look for ripples indicating flow; avoid manhole covers (they can lift/shift).

•If other vehicles are turning around, do the same—don’t assume you can make it.

2) Drive defensively:

•Slow down early; increase following distance to reduce hydroplaning.

•Use center lanes on multi-lane roads (outer lanes flood first).

•Avoid hard braking; ease off throttle if you feel hydroplaning.

3) If you see water across the road:

•Stop, turn around, find another route.

•Don’t test depth with your vehicle.

•Avoid nighttime crossings—water is much harder to see.

BREAKING! December 26: Shutting down the Hoover Building.

After more than 20 years of failed attempts, we finalized a plan to permanently close the FBI’s Hoover headquarters and move the workforce into a safe, modern facility. Working directly with President Trump and Congress, we accomplished what no one else could.

When we arrived, taxpayers were about to be on the hook for nearly $5 billion for a new headquarters that wouldn’t open until 2035. We scrapped that plan. Instead, we selected the already-existing Reagan Building, saving billions and allowing the transition to begin immediately with required safety and infrastructure upgrades already underway. Once complete, most of the HQ FBI workforce will move in, and the rest are continuing in our ongoing push to put more manpower in the field, where they will remain.

This decision puts resources where they belong: defending the homeland, crushing violent crime, and protecting national security. It delivers better tools for today’s FBI workforce at a fraction of the cost.

The Hoover Building will be shut down permanently.

Mexico: Video from last week showing gunmen attacking Veracruz State Police last week in Tierra Blanca, Veracruz. No officers were injured and the cartel members managed to escape.

It is unknown which cartel conducted the attack as Veracruz has CJNG, MF, Grupo Sombra, and others active in the state.

UPDATE: A Metropolitan Police Department officer remains in critical condition on Christmas Day, two days after being struck by a driver while assisting a motorist on I-695 near South Capitol Street.

The officer has been identified by his wife as Officer Terry L. Bennett. His wife, Nadia Bennett, confirmed his condition to WUSA9, saying there were no updates and that he remains critically injured.

MPD has not officially released the officer’s name but confirmed that an officer was hit around 10:10 p.m. Tuesday while helping the driver of a broken-down vehicle on the highway. 

The driver who struck the officer remained at the scene and was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the disabled vehicle was not injured. The MPD Major Crash Investigations Unit is leading the investigation into the incident.
