A Dallas police officer was injured Saturday night in a three-vehicle collision in North Dallas, according to the police.
The collision was reported around 10:30 p.m. on December 20 in the 8900 block of Preston Road just north of Northwest Highway.
Police said a Dallas police squad car was involved in a collision with two other cars.
The officer in the squad car was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Prayers for the Oklahoma State Patrol Trooper who was seriously injured in the line of duty earlier today.🙏🏻
The driver that hit Trooper Blades has died. Troopr Blades was released from the hospital this evening. Our prayers are with the family of the driver as they go through this difficult time. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
At approximately 12:30 this afternoon, one of our troopers was sitting stationary with emergency lights activated on westbound I-40 at Choctaw Road blocking the outside lane for a disabled semi being loaded onto a wrecker. An F-250 truck hit the trooper’s patrol unit from behind, while the trooper was inside. The trooper was rushed to the hospital where he is currently listed in stable condition. The driver of the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition. No one else was injured.g
