DEVELOPING: Gavin Newsom wants to decimate 2 million California home gardens.
Sounds insane? Itβs reality. Zone 0 would mandate property owners get rid of all their good standing vegetation and wooden fences within a 5-foot radius of their houses. Failure to comply within three years would require an inspector to remove it themselves.
Not only this, but some may fail to comply because they will not be able to afford the $5-10k it will cost to do so. This burden is being imposed by the state onto the taxpayer. Worse yet, it is so controversial, there are four different drafts of the proposal in response to citizen outrage.
This is not 1984. This is reality. Not having βenoughβ water for the Palisades fire was THE scapegoat. Wake up America!

β οΈExtremely concerning rain totals are forecast for Southern California, and a Flood Watch has been issued for the entire region.
Los Angeles is forecast to see 7.5 inches of rain in just five days, which would push the city to over 90% of its average annual rainfall before New Yearβs.
There is already a Level 4 out of 5 βModerate Riskβ for flash flooding, and it wouldnβt be surprising to see this upgraded to a High Risk. Severe, widespread flooding will be possible, even in areas that typically donβt experience flooding.
Burn scars will be a major concern. The Eaton Fire burn scar may see 10β15 inches of rain, which could trigger significant flooding and dangerous debris flows.
This is a dangerous storm, start taking necessary precautions now.

Rabbi Levitansky of Chabad in Santa Monica lit the giant menorah at the Santa Monica Pier on Sunday night, December 21, 2025, marking the final night of Hanukkah. Set against a coastal sunset, the public lighting closed the eight-day Festival of Lights with a gathering of community members along the shoreline.
Hanukkah commemorates the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem and the enduring miracle of light. The menorah symbolizes faith, resilience, and the tradition of bringing light into public spaces, even during the darkest days of the year.π
