West Virginia: A police officer was injured while responding to an altercation Friday evening in Moundsville.

Moundsville Police Chief Tom Mitchell said the officer is being evaluated for a possible back injury.

NEW: Authorities are on the scene of a train crash with multiple injuries in Montclair, New Jersey.

Two NJ Transit trains on the Montclair-Boonton Line crashed west of Bay Street around 6:47 p.m. Friday. Officials say there are reports of 17 injuries, currently considered non-life threatening.

Incident command has been established and emergency crews from Montclair, Verona and Nutley responded.
