Oklahoma: A golf tournament and fundraiser were held on Saturday in Choctaw to support deputy Mark Johns, who was shot in the line of duty while serving an eviction notice three years ago. Johns, who has served Oklahoma County for three decades, was injuredโ€ฆ
Led by City of Choctaw Deputy Chief Cunningham, the team raised $22,648 for Deputy Mark Johns, who was severely injured in the line of duty in August 2022 and has endured 12 life-altering surgeries. This is brotherhood. This is love. This is never standing alone.  ๐Ÿ’™

Two people, including a Norfolk Police officer, are seriously hurt after an early morning crash on Sunday. It happened around 5:00 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 81 and 829 Road on the northeast edge of Madison. The police department says the officerโ€ฆ
Weโ€™re happy to share that Officer Hobart, who was involved in Sundayโ€™s on-duty accident, has been discharged from the hospital and is doing well. While heโ€™ll be away from work for a bit as he recovers, he stopped by the police station to let everyone know heโ€™s okay and to say hello to his coworkers.

It was great to see him back at the station, even if just for a visit. Thank you to everyone who has reached out with support and well-wishes. Itโ€™s been truly appreciated.

Weโ€™re also working on a video that will walk through what happened during this incident and the response that followed. Weโ€™ll be sharing that soon.

More horrific violence against law enforcementโ€ฆ

Please keep the two officers shot yesterday, in separate incidents, in your thoughts and prayers. One a deputy from Chatham County (NC), the other a Romeoville (IL) police officer.

Thankfully both officers are expected to recover. A stark reminder of the dangers of our profession and the statistics we share of officers shot are not just numbers, they are people.

Fathers/Sons Mothers/Daughters and their families who will be impacted by the violence and trauma for the rest of their lives.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Southern California is in the midst of a mid-week warmup, but it likely won't last.

Northern California forecast: Scattered showers may impact the morning commute, especially in the Foothills and Sierra, but the Valley can expect more sunshine and warmer temperatures this afternoon.

Today, the NYPD made history once again. In 2025, we hired more than 4,000 new officers, the largest number hired in a single year on record.

That kind of growth does not happen by chance. It happens when a profession earns the confidence of the city it serves, and when people see this work as something worth stepping forward for.

That matters because there are people who would have you believe policing is a profession in retreat.

Let me be clear: that narrative is wrong.

This year, the NYPD did not experience an unexpected or extreme wave of departures. Retirements were exactly what we projected based on the 3,700 officers hired in 2005.

More importantly, the number of people leaving before 20 years on the job is down more than 40% since 2022. In fact, this year, weโ€™re outpacing attrition by more than 800 officers.

For several years, the NYPD faced staffing challenges that placed real strain on our ability to meet the cityโ€™s needs. From the day I took this job, I made it clear our goal was to rebuild our headcount.

And this year, that call is being answered by the recruits sworn in today.

Congratulations to everyone who stepped up to serve this city โ€” and welcome to the NYPD!

Across the United States, sheriffs are witnessing a dangerous and deeply personal reality: violence against law enforcement officers is rising, and the consequences are measured not just in statistics, but in shattered families, traumatized communities, and lives forever changed.

BREAKING: From student government to federal terror charges - the story behind how a former ASCC president allegedly went from Cerritos College leadership to plotting a deadly New Yearโ€™s Eve bombing in LA is darker and closer to home than anyone expected.

I can now confirm - directly from Cerritos College - that the student pictured in campus photos is the same individual now named in the FBIโ€™s terror indictment.

โ€œOperation Midnight Sunโ€ wasnโ€™t vague rhetoric. According to court filings, it was a coordinated bomb plan targeting businesses and federal agents, set to detonate amid New Yearโ€™s Eve crowds.

Multiple insiders tell me he had quietly re-enrolled weeks before his arrest - raising urgent questions about campus safety, oversight, and institutional accountability.

Cerritos Collegeโ€™s response? A boilerplate denial of any โ€œknown threatโ€ or connection -
leaving students and parents in the dark about whether their campus was ever truly safe.

This isnโ€™t fringe activism. This is domestic extremism that nearly became mass carnage - and it took federal intervention to stop it.

This is your friendly reminder my American friends

The 2nd Amendment is the one that protects all the others. Especially the 1st one. Watch what happens in Australia.

"NSW Premier Chris Minns says Parliament will be recalled on 22-23 December to pass stronger gun laws, including limits on weapon ownership, shotgun reclassifications and reduced ammunition capacity.

He will also explore prohibiting protests about โ€œinternational eventsโ€ if they are likely to cause disharmony to protect the multicultural community."
