Former LAPD Captain Cory Palka, once known inside Hollywood as “Captain Hollywood,” will not face criminal prosecution despite allegations that he leaked a confidential sexual assault report tied to former CBS chief Les Moonves.

Court records released by the LA County District Attorney show the case is barred by the statute of limitations, even though investigators previously recommended felony charges tied to the disclosure of confidential information and obstruction.

The allegations against Palka surfaced during a broader investigation into CBS and Moonves during the height of the MeToo movement, raising enduring questions about power, access, and accountability inside Hollywood and law enforcement.
