Rest in Peace - Detective Timothy Jones of the Park Forest Police Department in Illinois. End of Watch: December 3, 2025.

Detective Jones sustained gunshot wounds during an encounter with a robbery suspect nearly 10 years ago - in March of 2016. On December 3 of this year, Detective Jones succumbed to those wounds. He was 34 years old.

Prior to the incident, he had served with the Park Forest Police Department for 9 months.

The FBI sends our prayers and condolences to Detective Jones’ family, friends, and colleagues he leaves behind. They will have our full support.

During the investigation, it was determined that Poague, a former beauty pageant winner, was jealous of the child. Police obtained probable cause and the case was presented to a grand jury, which determined Poague had abused the child.

Texas: A Balcones Heights police officer was injured Tuesday afternoon when a man struck him with a vehicle during an attempted arrest near Woodlawn Lake.

Police said a 38-year-old man suspected of several crimes, including burglary and unauthorized use of credit cards, was under surveillance by the Balcones Heights Police Department. 

According to the police department, detectives identified the suspect through several different videos and discovered his place of residence, thus setting up surveillance in that area. The suspect eventually left the residence sometime Tuesday afternoon, which is when police officers followed him to a secondary location and attempted to take him into custody. 

Police said the man refused to be taken into custody and rammed his vehicle into a police officer, throwing the officer several feet into the air. 

Authorities said police officers then began to pursue the man along with assistance from SAPD. The man was tracked to the 2400 block of N. Zarzamora and Woodlawn Avenue, where he was promptly taken into custody. 

The officer who was struck did sustain some cuts and scrapes but is expected to be OK.

Please, pray for the Michigan State Police sergeant who was shot in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏻

TUSCOLA COUNTY, MI.  On Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at approximately 8:30 p.m., personnel from the Michigan State Police (MSP) Caro Post responded to a residence in Koylton Township to pick up a 54-year-old man on a mental order that was signed by a judge. The preliminary investigation indicates that troopers and a sergeant arrived on scene and encountered the man in a vehicle. During the encounter the man produced a weapon and shots were fired.

The sergeant was shot in the hand, treated at the hospital and released. The 54-year-old man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Michigan State Police (MSP) Investigative Response Team and MSP Crime Lab responded to investigate and process the scene.

The investigation remains ongoing. Additional information will be provided when it becomes available.

BREAKING: MS-13 Leader Wanted for Assassination of Four People in Honduras Arrested in Nebraska

Gerson Emir Cuadra Soto was a leader in MS-13 who was part of a professional assassination squad. Cuadra Soto is alleged to have entered the U.S. illegally in 2022 and was arrested without incident on December 8, 2025.
