Update on Deputy Dalton Swanger:
Deputy Dalton Swangerβs tracheal resection surgery has been scheduled for later this month. Until then, he will continue undergoing dilation procedures to keep his airway open. His most recent surgery (this week) showed his airway had narrowed to just under 2 mm. He will remain out of work until late winter or early spring.
Deputy Swanger has now undergone six surgeries since late August and may require additional procedures before the resection. He continues to show remarkable strength throughout this complex recovery process.
Sheriff Tom Spangler and Chief Deputy Bernie Lyon, along with our entire blue family, are grateful for the continued support Deputy Swanger has received from our community and beyond. Please continue to pray for both Dalton and Stephania through this journey.
