NEW: Semi-truck driver in Lacey pileup crash didn't have a CDL, WA state patrol says.

A commercial truck driver named Juan Hernandez-Santos of Huentitlan, Mexico, was arrested at the scene of a 6-car pileup  that involved a school bus on I-6 in Lacey on Thursday morning.

The driver was hauling cars & slammed into the back of the school bus after 7:00 am & didn't have a commercial driver’s license, insurance, or a valid medical card.

Four people were sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

Hernandez-Santos was booked into the Thurston County Jail for a gross misdemeanor charge of operating a commercial vehicle without a valid license.

NEW: An officer was injured in a hit-and-run in North Philadelphia on Friday afternoon, according to police.

Police said an officer was struck in the area of Marshall Street and Lehigh Avenue around 2:30 p.m., and the driver fled the scene. The driver then crashed into a house at 8th and Cambria streets, about a mile away from the initial scene. The driver fled on foot, police said.

The officer suffered non-life-threatening injuries, according to police.

VPD detectives recently observed a wanted fugitive force entry into a storage unit facility in East Vancouver. When officers moved in to make an arrest, the suspect fled on foot, climbed a barbed-wire fence, and ran into a nearby industrial complex. The chase didn’t last long. 💪 Officers located the suspect hiding nearby and took him into custody.

Uncrewed Aircraft System (UAS) footage captured the forced entry, the attempted escape, and officers closing in. The suspect was wanted on multiple out-of-state felony warrants and now faces additional charges related to the burglary.

A second suspect was contacted nearby who helped coordinate the burglary and acted as the lookout. Officers recovered fraudulent IDs, stolen financial documents, burglary tools, burner phones, and keys to other storage facilities. The U-Haul used during the crime had been rented under a stolen identity and was seized for a search warrant.

The suspect, Michael Humphrey, was booked into the Clark County Jail on the following charges:
