BREAKING: State fire marshal on scene at site of a house explosion in Oakland, Maine.

Local residents report home destroyed and multiple departments including LifeFlight of Maine responded to the scene.

Texas: Two police officers were taken to the hospital and another driver suffered minor injuries Wednesday after a crash on the South Side, the San Antonio Police Department said. 

Around 4 p.m., a driver called 911 to report that he had been struck by an SAPD patrol vehicle in the 800 block of West Hutchins Place near Commercial Avenue, according to a preliminary police report.

The 46-year-old driver said he was traveling westbound with a green light when the patrol car hit him “abruptly,” the report says. The patrol car was on the way to a reported assault using its emergency lights and siren, according to police.

The impact of the crash sent both vehicles off the road and into a parking lot. The patrol car crashed into an electrical box, causing the air bags to go off.

Medics took the two officers who were inside the patrol car to the hospital as a precaution, according to police.

The 46-year-old driver suffered minor injuries and was not hospitalized.

Connecticut: Two firefighters fell through a floor while battling a fire in Hartford.

Crews responded to 419 Hudson Street at 9:28 p.m. for a working fire at an apartment building in the South Green neighborhood.

A Mayday was declared when two firefighters fell through a floor during the operation.

One firefighter caught himself and sustained no reported injuries.

The other firefighter was transported to the hospital for evaluation as a precaution.

Hawai'i: A Honolulu Police Department officer sustained multiple injuries during an arrest that took place in Waikiki on Thursday morning.

According to HPD, at approximately 7:32 a.m. officers responded to Kalakaua Ave and Ohua Ave. During the incident, a 60-year-old man allegedly assaulted the officer by biting and kicking the officer multiple times.

As a result of the incident, the officer sustained injuries to his hand and pain to his body. He was treated at the hospital and was reported to be in good condition.
