A Jacksonville police officer injured in the line of duty has released her first public statement since the shooting that hospitalized her and her K-9 partner and prompted a three-day manhunt in East Texas.

'As most of you know, November 2nd I was shot twice in the line of duty.
I can’t go into details of the case due to the investigation being ongoing, so please don’t ask any questions regarding that.

I was hit with two .556 rounds. One which is still in my right arm. The other through and through my leg. I underwent two surgeries.
My leg has a wound vac on it which is helping close the chunk of my leg that is missing.
My ulnar nerve in my right arm was 85% severed , and a cadaver nerve was placed. I have no feeling or movement in my right arm, hand, or fingers. 

My k9 partner, Renzo, was also shot. He underwent 2 surgeries as well, and is recovering smoothly. I have 2 great friends helping Renzo until I recover and then we will reunite. This has helped tremendously so he can get the help he needs while I do the same.

All that to say, I have received so much love and support it’s heart warming and has made me feel so incredibly loved and supported.
All the hate & negativity yall see on social media, don’t let it consume you. Right is right. Wrong is wrong. And evil will be paid for in the end. That is not mine or your battle to fight,just stick to your faith and ignore the people incapable of comprehending right from wrong.

I’ve had so many people ask what I need, so I’m going to give out a very specific prayer request because I believe in the power of prayer;
Please pray for spontaneous return of function in my right arm and hand. And that I get no infections in my leg as the wound vac continues to close the hole in my leg.
Thank you all so much. As you all know, I’ve got a lil boy to chase around and although a momma is going to figure it out, it’s a lot harder one handed, weak hand at that.

Pennsylvania: On 17 November 2025, an East Lampeter Township Police Officer was involved in a vehicle crash at Old Philadelphia Pike and the exit ramp of Route 30 Eastbound Bypass. The Officer was on duty at the time and was operating a marked police cruiser. The officer had exited Route 30 E/B Bypass and was intending to turn left and travel east on Old Philadelphia Pike. The Officer had a steady green traffic signal and proceeded through the intersection. While proceeding through the intersection a driver who was traveling west on Old Philadelphia Pike failed to stop for a steady red traffic signal and struck the police cruiser.

The Officer and an individual who was riding in the passenger seat of the police cruiser sustained minor injuries and were transported by LEMSA to Lancaster General Hospital.
