What happens when local and federal law enforcement agencies work together? This: an illegal alien arrested for smuggling 20 pounds of cocaine. Blythe Station agents responded to a request for assistance from the La Paz County Sheriff’s Office during a vehicle stop along Interstate 10 near Quartzsite, Arizona and determined the driver of a vehicle was a national of El Salvador. A subsequent canine sniff of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of 20 pounds of cocaine in the vehicle’s trunk. La Paz deputies took custody of the driver, vehicle, and narcotics. A federal detainer has been placed on the driver requesting his return to federal authorities after conclusion of his state charges. He will then face alien inadmissibility charges and deportation from the U.S. #teamwork #BorderSecurityIsNationalSecurity

Maryville Tennessee Police Officer Remains in Critical Condition

At 6:11 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025, while providing a dignitary escort for Vice President JD Vance, Maryville Police Officer FTO Justin Brown was critically injured when his police motorcycle collided with a Tennessee Highway Patrol SUV on East Lamar Alexander Parkway.

Chief Tony Crisp said citizens on the scene immediately administered lifesaving first aid. “To those individuals whose quick response saved FTO Brown’s life last night, we could never thank you enough. You are true heroes,” he said.

FTO Brown was transported to UT Hospital, remains in critical condition, and underwent surgery Saturday morning. Chief Crisp praised the professionalism of AMR responders and the University of Tennessee medical staff for their excellent care.
