🚨BREAKING: Polk County Texas emergency officials are urging residents near near Carter Lake Dam to evacuate.

"EMERGENCY ALERT: Carter Lake Dam Compromised

The Carter Lake dam in Camden has been compromised. It is our understanding that there is damage to the embankment of the dam.  The dam property owners are currently assessing the risk of a potential breach.

Residences located south of the dam—specifically along Henry Darden Rd, Marie Rd, Community Dr, Bo Peep, Herb Collins Rd, and Girard—may be in the path of potential flooding if the dam should breach.

We are urging all residents in these areas to evacuate immediately and remain clear of the zone depicted in the map below until further notice. This precaution is necessary to ensure public safety while the situation is being evaluated, especially while nighttime conditions impede the ability to assess the seriousness of the damage.

ICYMI: A man stole an ambulance from outside Loretto Hospital in Chicago’s Austin neighborhood yesterday afternoon, taking off while a paramedic was still in the back.

The paramedic managed to jump out a few blocks away as police began pursuing the stolen vehicle through the West Side. During the chase, the suspect hit multiple cars, including two squad vehicles, and an officer fired shots but no one was hit. The pursuit ended when the ambulance crashed near Cicero and Chicago Avenue.

The suspect was arrested and taken to the hospital in stable condition, while three officers suffered minor injuries.

A chaotic scene unfolded Saturday evening after a massive brawl erupted in the parking lot between Walmart and Launch Trampoline Park in Dearborn, Michigan.

Witnesses say more than 200 people were involved in the fight, which quickly escalated and spilled across the busy shopping complex. At least one person was detained by police, and another was transported to the hospital for treatment.

Footage obtained by TCD News shows a group of individuals chasing another person into the nearby Home Depot.

Dearborn police responded with a heavy presence, remaining on scene for nearly two hours as officers worked to clear the area and restore order.
