Rumble in the jungle! Incredible moment African elephant gets into a FIGHT with a rhino and almost tramples her baby underfoot
A retired #NYPD transit sergeant has been found dead of an apparent suicide in a car parked in a Staten Island parking lot, officials said Tuesday. Retired 48-year-old sergeant Edward Rosa, who left the police department in 2012, allegedly took his own life on Sunday night. He was discovered dead on Sunday around 6pm suffering a gunshot to the chest in the driver's seat of a vehicle in a transit parking lot on Arthur Kill Road near Richmond Avenue. His body was found less than a mile away from his home, according to the @police_frequency in the Telegram. Rosa's death is just the latest in a staggering number of shock suicides plaguing the NYPD. So far in 2019 alone, nine active NYPD officers have taken their own lives.

Hell in the Bahamas 🌪💦😱
Hurricane Dorian has killed at least five people and destroyed as many as 13,000 homes during its path of destruction through the Bahamas. The catastrophic onslaught sent floodwaters up to the second floors of some buildings, trapped people in attics and led to others fleeing from one shelter to another. Photos have captured just a glimpse of the devastation in the Bahamas. One image shows dozens of capsized boats at a harbor, while video shows stalled cars on flooded roads and completely destroyed homes. The Grand Bahama airport was said to be under 6 feet of water. The exact toll of the devastation in the Bahamas will not be clear until the storm passes and rescue crews can get on the ground. The storm hovered over the islands for almost 24 hours. Bahamas prime minister Hubert Minnis said: 'We are in the midst of a historic tragedy. The devastation is unprecedented and extensive.' 🌪😱
Five people were killed today as looters in South Africa destroyed shops and attacked drivers in a third day of xenophobic rioting. Hordes of people - some armed with axes and machetes - terrorised Johannesburg hours after mobs tore through the township of Alexandra, forcing police to open fire with rubber bullets. Police, who have so far arrested more than 90 people, fanned out across Johannesburg and Pretoria. Many gutted, emptied shops remained closed as shop owners, many of them foreign, feared to return to their property.

Hong Kong police have been accused of tackling a student outside a school after pupils went on strike to support the city's anti-government protests for a second day. The teenage boy sustained severe bleeding on his mouth and two of his front teeth were knocked out as a result of the incident this morning, according to reports. Police have dismissed the allegation that the student had been 'tackled'. A spokesman claimed that the pair 'slipped and fell' on wet ground when the officer was trying to chase protesting pupils. #HK
