BREAKING: Today, at the direction of President Trump, the Department of War carried out a lethal kinetic strike on a vessel operated by a Designated Terrorist Organization (DTO).

Intelligence confirmed that the vessel was involved in illicit narcotics smuggling, transiting along a known narco-trafficking route, and carrying narcotics. The strike was conducted in international waters in the Eastern Pacific.

No U.S. forces were harmed in the strike, and two male narco-terrorists — who were aboard the vessel — were killed.

▪️ At least 3 fatalities, and that number is expected to get larger

▪️ At least 11 injuries, and that number is expected to get larger

▪️ No hazardous material on board the flight

▪️ Two businesses impacted: Kentucky Petroleum Recycling and Grade A Autoparts; all but two employees have been accounted for from those businesses

▪️Other surrounding businesses like the Ford Plant and Expo Center are sheltering in place

▪️ NTSB leading the investigation and expected on scene at any moment

▪️ Firefighters from departments across Louisville, Lexington and surrounding counties are on scene helping to battle the blaze

Georgia:  A Savannah Police officer was injured in a crash on White Bluff Road and Tibet Avenue Tuesday.

The officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment. She is expected to be okay.

Others were injured in the crash as well, according to a post made by SPD.

The crash occurred at 4:34 p.m. Officials closed the intersection of White Bluff Road and Tibet Avenue due to the crash, but reopened it around 7:50 p.m. Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.

🏆Slidell Police Award Slidell Resident with the Citizenship Award for Assisting Fleeing Suspects

The Slidell Police Department is proud today to recognize a citizen whose courage and quick action directly contributed to the safety of our community, and helped with the apprehension of two shoplifting suspects, who fled from one of our officers.

A little backstory…although many already know the story. On Saturday, November 1st, Sgt. Jeff Kahrs was working a paid security detail at Dillards in the Fremaux Town Center. Sgt. Kahrs attempted to stop a shoplifter, at which time she fled into the parking lot and jumped into a getaway vehicle. Sgt. Kahrs tried to stop the fleeing vehicle, but was unable to do so, as the driver took off through the parking lot. Sgt. Kahrs’ patrol unit was parked on the opposite side of Dillards, rendering him to resort to nothing but providing the vehicle description over his police radio.

That is when one of our Slidell residents, Mrs. Lesli Smith, who witnessed the entire incident taking place, drove up to Sgt. Kahrs and asked him if he "wanted to hop in”. Without hesitation, Sgt. Kahrs graciously accepted Ms. Lesli’s offer and in that very moment, Ms. Lesli Smith became the newest recruits of the Slidell Police Department!

The two SAFELY followed the suspect vehicle at safe distance, while Sgt. Kahrs  continued to radio in updates to other responding officers. Approximately two  minutes later, officers converged in, and blocked in the suspect vehicle at the intersection of Fremaux Avenue and Town Center Parkway. Sgt. Kahrs jumped out of Ms. Lesli’s vehicle, and continued his foot pursuit through traffic, as our officers arrived around the same time, and were able to take both suspects into custody. Well done!
