Florida: One person was arrested and a deputy injured after a vehicle crash Saturday, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.

At 6:35 p.m., a deputy was responding to a call at North Street and Delia Street in Wimauma to back up another unit.

The sheriff’s office said the deputy had his lights and siren activated when he collided with a vehicle pulling out of a driveway.
According to deputies, the driver appeared to be intoxicated.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office arrested the driver of the vehicle and charged them with driving under the influence.

The deputy was taken to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.

California: At least one Riverside County sheriff’s deputy who was involved in a pursuit was hospitalized after being involved in a crash with a car in Perris Saturday night, Nov. 1, authorities said.

The crash also sent an unknown number of occupants of a Honda Civic, which was not involved in the pursuit, to the hospital with complaints of pain injuries, said Officer Juan Navarro of the California Highway Patrol, which was investigating the crash.

The collision occurred at the Ramona Expressway and Lake Perris Drive around 10:15 p.m., officials said. It wasn’t immediately known if there was one or two deputies in the sheriff’s SUV.

During the pursuit, one of the sheriff’s vehicles collided with the Honda Civic, Vickers said.

CHP investigators learned the sheriff’s vehicle had lights and sirens activated while traveling eastbound on the Ramona Expressway when the driver of the Civic attempted to make a left turn from southbound Lake Perris Drive onto the eastbound expressway, Navarro said.

Michigan: A Calhoun County Sheriff’s deputy was injured Thursday evening when a suspect hit him with a vehicle during an attempted arrest in Pennfield Township.

Deputies were called around 7:30 p.m. to the Taco Bell at 1307 NE Capital Avenue to check on a man who appeared unresponsive inside a vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.

When a deputy arrived, he found a 47-year-old man unconscious in the driver’s seat.

Lifecare Ambulance Service and the Pennfield Township Fire Department responded and medically cleared the man at the scene.

During the investigation, deputies learned the man had an active felony warrant for his arrest. It is currently unclear what the warrant was for.

As deputies attempted to take the man into custody, he resisted arrest, and a struggle broke out. The sheriff’s office said the man then struck a deputy with his vehicle as he drove off, injuring the deputy.

The injured deputy was treated at a local hospital and released with non-life-threatening injuries.

On October 30, 2025, TxDPS Tracking K-9 ZITA was on the trail once again—this time assisting the DPS Brush Team and U.S. Border Patrol along the Rio Grande in Roma, Starr Co.

A raft loaded with multiple illegal immigrants was spotted crossing from Mexico. As Troopers and Agents moved in, K-9 ZITA led the team straight to the area where the raft made landfall.

In a coordinated effort, 13 illegal immigrants were apprehended, including the smuggler from Mexico—taken into custody by U.S. Border Patrol.

Among those captured was a special interest alien from Turkey, identified as Selcuk Furkan Yilmaz.

This is another example of Texas DPS and our federal partners working together under Operation Lone Star to stop human smuggling and ensure public safety.
