Flower St between 9th St and Venice Blvd.

Florida: Last night, 10/30/2025, Officer Christopher Davis of the Live Oak Police Department, was involved in a motor vehicle crash. Officer Davis was off duty but returning from his final night of the police academy at North Florida College, Madison Florida.…
The Live Oak Police Department posted an update on Officer Christopher Davis, who was seriously injured in a crash on Thursday.
"Officer Davis is certainly not out of the woods yet but he wanted everyone to know he’s pressing on. While staff are monitoring for infection and blood loss and a healthy dose of surgery is in his future, he’s confident for recovery. Chris says after a tour in Afghanistan, everything else is an easy lift. He wanted everyone to know how grateful he and his family are for all the love, prayer and support they have received.
A couple of special thank yous:
To Deputy Ali Law of the Suwannee County Sheriffs Office for quick application of a tourniquet. As well as Sgt. Lormil of the Gainesville Police Department and nursing staff at Shands UF for treating his kids to trick or treat inside the hospital."

A Chicago police officer was injured Saturday after a suspect struck a squad car and an officer with a vehicle during a pursuit on the South Side, authorities said.
Just after 5:30 p.m. in the 8100 block of South Cottage Grove, officers responded to a report of a person with a gun, according to Chicago police.
Officers spotted a man matching the description given by callers getting into a Chevy Impala. When officers attempted to intervene, the man fled in the vehicle.
During the attempted escape, the suspect rammed a marked police car and hit an officer, police say.
The officer was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The suspect continued driving until the 4100 block of South Indiana Avenue, where officers took him into custody. Charges are pending as the investigation continues.
