Corporal Eric Tims has retired after 23 years with Lenexa Kansas Police Department and 31 years total in law enforcement.
During his tenure, Cpl. Tims has served as a patrol officer, detective, motorcycle officer, tactical team member, and rescue vehicle operator. Prior to joining the Lenexa Police Department, Cpl. Tims was an officer with the Wichita Police Department and a trooper with the Kansas Highway Patrol. Well done Brother.

NEW: A device exploded inside the Goldenson Building in Harvard’s Longwood medical campus early Saturday morning, according to a message from the Harvard University Police Department to University affiliates.
"A device exploded inside the Goldenson Building in Harvard’s Longwood medical campus early Saturday morning, according to a message from the Harvard University Police Department to University affiliates.
The explosion took place on an area of the fourth floor of Goldenson, a Harvard Medical School building on the school’s main quad. An officer who responded shortly before 3 a.m. observed two individuals fleeing the building, according to the email sent by HUPD spokesperson Steven G. Catalano this afternoon.
The Boston Fire Department Arson Unit responded to the incident and determined the explosion to be intentional.
The Boston Police Department performed a sweep of the building and determined there were no additional devices in the building. No injuries were reported in relation to the incident.
Catalano declined to comment beyond the emailed statement. A BPD spokesperson declined to comment on the incident. A spokesperson for the Boston Fire Department could not immediately be reached for comment.
HUPD is actively investigating the incident with local, state, and federal authorities.
The FBI is on scene assisting HUPD, according to FBI spokesperson Kristen M. Setera."

Watch as DPS Tracking K-9 Bona and her handler track for over one mile and locate Martinez Valerio hiding in the brush. He was arrested and charged with evading arrest.
It was later discovered that Martinez Valerio is an illegal immigrant from Mexico who fled to avoid deportation.

Graduating from the Riverside County (CA) Sheriff's Academy in 1979. The academy was run in conjunction with Riverside City College, which meant "open enrollee" students could go through the course of instruction in the hope they might be hired by an agency afterwards. A boy dressed as a police offiicer was injured Friday evening while trick-or-treating in Youngsville, Louisiana.
Police Chief Jean-Paul "JP" Broussard said the boy was on the sidewalk and may have run into the street.
The vehicle that ran over him was moving slowly, Broussard said, as the driver tried to leave the subdivision during trick-or-treating. He said the incident was an accident.
Youngsville Police officers were deployed throughout the city during trick-or-treating, Broussard said, and responded to the incident within minutes.
Saturday afternoon that the boy remains hospitalized with moderate injuries but is in stable condition.
Broussard said he spoke with the boy's mother who said he was playing around Saturday in his hospital room.
