She will be the first female chief in Charlotte’s history.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg FOP put out a congratulatory statement -- saying Patterson's name continued to be mentioned in their survey as someone who officers wanted to be Chief.

This morning around 9:00 am, at Oak Grove High, Officer Evans, apprehended the wanted suspect for attempted candy theft.
