Elsinboro Township, NJ β Officers from the Salem County Sheriffβs Office recently came to the aid of a large horned owl found injured along a roadway in Elsinboro Township.
While on patrol, an officer discovered the majestic bird grounded and unable to fly safely out of harmβs way. Acting quickly to protect both motorists and the owl, officers secured the scene and contacted John Fox, a local Bald Eagle rescue specialist, for assistance.
With careful coordination, the Sheriffβs Officers, County Road Dept and Mr. Fox safely contained the owl and ensured it received immediate attention. The bird was later transported to a wildlife rescue sanctuary in Delaware, where it is receiving professional care and rehabilitation.
Sheriff Charles M. Miller commended the response and the rescue specialist for their quick thinking and compassion.
βItβs always rewarding when our office can help protect wildlife and ensure the safety of our community at the same time,β said Sheriff Miller. βWeβre grateful to Mr. Fox and the sanctuary staff for their expertise and dedication.β
The Sheriffβs Office reminds the public that if they encounter injured wildlife, they should avoid handling the animals and contact local authorities or wildlife specialists for assistance.

Once again, New York City was hit by heavy rain β and the cityβs infrastructure completely failed. Subway stations were flooded, water surged into train cars, and passengers were left stranded with nowhere to go. Major highways became rivers, parks turned into lakes, and emergency services were stretched thin trying to respond.
This time, the chaos turned deadly. A man in Crown Heights, Brooklyn tragically drowned inside a flooded basement while trying to save his dog β a heartbreaking reminder of how dangerous the cityβs negligence has become.
None of this is new. These exact failures have happened time and time again. The State of New York has been warned, has studied the problem, and has had every opportunity to prepare β yet nothing gets done.
Instead of investing in basic infrastructure that millions of New Yorkers rely on, Gov Kathy Hochul throws billions at fringe pet projects β transgender initiatives, Planned Parenthood expansions, and anything else that grabs woke headlines. Meanwhile, the core systems of the city are rotting beneath us.
People arenβt asking for miracles. Theyβre asking for trains that donβt flood, highways that donβt drown, and leadership that actually gives a damn. Instead, we get excuses, mismanagement, and billions flushed down the drain.
This is what failure looks like β and it starts at the top.
Gov. Hochul, get your act together. Every storm floods our subways, highways, and parks β and now people are dying. Stop throwing billions at woke nonsense and fix New Yorkβs crumbling infrastructure. Lead or leave. Enough is enough.

It's no wonder Congress has a 13% approval rating.
