Hurricane Dorian strengthens to CATEGORY 5 with winds of 180 MPH and shifts back towards Florida: Millions in the Sunshine State, Georgia and the Carolinas brace for 'catastrophic' storm that is the strongest ever to hit the Bahamas. The storm now boasts dangerous wind gusts of over 200 mph as it moved over the Bahamas creating 'catastrophic conditions' in the Abacos islands, as an official hurricane watch and evacuations were issued for the east coast of Florida. Dorian hit the Bahamian islands Sunday morning and the eyewall of the catastrophic storm slammed the Abaco Islands with devastating winds first, according to the NHC. After parking over the Bahamas, the storm will aim north towards south Florida, Georgia and the Carolinas - where states of emergencies are in effect. According to forecast models, Dorian will make a turn to the north and make landfall in the U.S. as early as Tuesday afternoon. 🌪💦😱

Hundreds of demonstrators gathered outside Hong Kong's international airport today to disrupt travel and try to bring global attention to their fight for democracy following another night of violent protests. Operators of the Airport Express train said it had suspended services this afternoon, while black-clad protesters - hiding from CCTV cameras under umbrellas - built barricades at the airport bus station. Today's protests follow another night of violence in Hong Kong and city sanitation workers were seen clearing debris and removing graffiti this morning. Hours before a huge fire burned for over an hour in the city's commercial district as chaos rippled through the centre of a city usually renowned for its stability and prosperity. 'I'm really, really tired. I think many Hong Kong people had a sleepless night yesterday,' said 18-year-old student protester called May. 'I almost couldn't manage to get up, but I'm determined to go today.' #HK

Authorities on Sunday released a photograph showing the man who is allegedly responsible for the shooting rampage in western Texas that killed at least seven people and wounded nearly two dozen others, but said that they did not have a motive for the shooting yet. The gunman who carried out the mass shooting in Odessa, Texas, has been identified as 36-year-old Seth Ator, two law enforcement officials told AP. He was shot and killed by police in the parking lot of the Cinergy movie theater in Odessa on Saturday afternoon. Police had previously only said that the suspect was a white male in his 30s. Although police did not have a specific motive for the shooting yet, Odessa Police Chief Michael Gerke said during a news conference that the shooter 'showed up at a movie theater which would tend to show his motive.' He also suggested that more people could've died if police hadn't killed him outside the cinema, according to Fox News.

Kevin Hart was involved in a vehicle collision in the early hours of Sunday morning in the hills of Malibu. The 40-year-old comedian reportedly sustained a 'major back injury' when his vintage Plymouth Barracuda veered off the road and down a hill off of Mulholland Highway around 1am, according to TMZ. Kevin - who was 'not driving' at the time - was 'trapped' in the vehicle with two other people, just hours after he posted to social media behind the wheel of the classic car. #losers
