James Woods

A retired Woods Cross Utah Police K-9 has passed away after serving the department for 10 years and locating nearly 90 people during his career.

According to a press release from the Woods Cross Police Department, Ranger is remembered for his “remarkable nose, loyal heart, and unwavering dedication.”

During his 10 years with the police department, he covered more than 173 miles to help look for wanted or missing individuals. Ranger helped officers locate six missing children and 83 wanted persons. He assisted more than 30 different law enforcement agencies in Utah while on the job.

Ranger passed away on Oct. 23, 2025, after a retirement filled with “love, treats, and the comfort of family.” Woods Cross Police Department says he will be deeply missed, but that his legacy will live on for those who worked with him.

UPDATE: The suspect was taken into custody at 1:26 p.m in South Austin. This was NOT an active shooter incident, but rather an isolated incident with one suspect and one victim. The victim remains at the hospital in serious but stable condition.

Prayers for the Houston Police Officer who was injured in the line of duty overnight.🙏🏻

A Houston police officer was injured early Saturday morning after a pickup truck crashed into his patrol vehicle while he was assisting with traffic control on the North Freeway.

The incident occurred around 1:28 a.m. on the northbound entrance ramp to the 10100 block of the North Freeway Service Road, just before West Road.

According to authorities, the HPD officer was blocking the entrance ramp as part of a response to an earlier crash on the freeway when the pickup truck crashed into his vehicle.

The impact injured the officer and caused severe damage to the patrol unit. He was transported to a local hospital, where police say he is now in stable condition.

Canada was caught, red handed, putting up a fraudulent advertisement on Ronald Reagan’s Speech on Tariffs. The Reagan Foundation said that they, “created an ad campaign using selective audio and video of President Ronald Reagan. The ad misrepresents the Presidential Radio Address,” and “did not seek nor receive permission to use and edit the remarks. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is reviewing its legal options in this matter.” The sole purpose of this FRAUD was Canada’s hope that the United States Supreme Court will come to their “rescue” on Tariffs that they have used for years to hurt the United States. Now the United States is able to defend itself against high and overbearing Canadian Tariffs (and those from the rest of the World as well!). Ronald Reagan LOVED Tariffs for purposes of National Security and the Economy, but Canada said he didn’t! Their Advertisement was to be taken down, IMMEDIATELY, but they let it run last night during the World Series, knowing that it was a FRAUD. Because of their serious misrepresentation of the facts, and hostile act, I am increasing the Tariff on Canada by 10% over and above what they are paying now. LOWER GWYNEDD MAN CHARGED IN ATTEMPTED MURDER OF PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP OFFICER

Police say Dalton Lee Janiczek, 21, rammed a patrol car, then intentionally struck an officer multiple times with a white Mercedes G-Wagon at the DoubleTree Hotel on Oct. 24.

The officer was seriously injured and underwent surgery; another officer was hurt during the pursuit. Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for their recovery🙏🏻

Janiczek faces charges including Attempted Murder of a Law Enforcement Officer. He’s being held without bail—preliminary hearing set for Nov. 4, 2025.

All charges are allegations; the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
