 On October 21, 2025, at approximately 5:45 a.m., Wilshire Division Officers were conducting extra patrol in the area of Crenshaw Boulevard and Olympic Boulevard due to an increase in stolen vehicle activity.

Officers observed a white Kia Soul with stolen license plates . When contacted, suspects attempted to flee on foot but were quickly detained without incident. The vehicle was confirmed stolen, and multiple stolen license plates, burglary tools, and tampered ignition components were recovered. The stolen license plates were linked to additional vehicles in the same vicinity with switched plates. The officers were able to recover a total of 6 vehicles from the arrest. The suspects and vehicles were also linked to other crimes like Robbery and Burglaries. 

Outstanding work by Wilshire Division officers whose proactive efforts continue to enhance community safety and reduce vehicle thefts across the neighboring divisions.
