On Tuesday, October 21, 2025, Palmdale City Council honored Deputy Ryan Clinkunbroomer by naming a portion of Avenue Q as Deputy Clinkunbroomer Avenue (Avenue Q). The portion of the corridor applies from Sierra Highway to 40th Street East. During the meeting, Deputy Clinkunbroomer’s family, surrounded by members of Palmdale Sheriff's Station, was presented with a ceremonial street sign in his honor.

Deputy Clinkunbroomer was ambushed and senselessly killed in the line of duty on September 16, 2023, while on duty serving the Palmdale community.

Thank you to the city of Palmdale for honoring Deputy Clinkunbroomer’s family and his everlasting legacy.

What a great day at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Retiree Luncheon!

It was wonderful to see so many friends, mentors, and longtime partners. This annual gathering always feels like a family reunion — a time to reconnect, share memories, and show appreciation for those who dedicated years of service to an often thankless job.
