This morning, K9 Soka, a new German Shorthair mix with KCSO, ran from his handler in Irons, Michigan. K9 Soka is friendly, trained in narcotics detection, chipped, and wearing a collar. Last seen about 1.5 miles southwest of Peacock Township Hall in the Manisteeโ€ฆ
UPDATE: K9 SOKA IS HOME SAFE! ๐Ÿพ

Our sneaky little guy is back in custody! After getting loose from his handler yesterday morning in Irons, K9 Soka was found about 4.5 miles away. He appears healthyโ€”aside from a few porcupine needlesโ€”and will be taken to a veterinarian for evaluation.

We couldnโ€™t have found him without the incredible support from our communities in Kent and Lake Counties, and everywhere in between and surrounding. Thank you to the Lake County Sheriffโ€™s Office, Manistee County Sheriffโ€™s Office, and other area partners who helped in the search, and to everyone who shared our post or kept an eye out for him.

Because of all of you, Soka is safe and headed home. ๐Ÿพ

I just left court advocating on behalf of 26 U.S. Attorney candidates who have been denied the opportunity for a Senate hearing - effectively blocking their confirmation and blocking Congressโ€™s ability to provide advice and consent.  The continued invocation of blue slips, a tradition not a rule, demonstrates a politically motivated effort to impede the Presidentโ€™s constitutional authority to appoint U.S. Attorneys.

The President appoints individuals to carry out the mission of this administration and that mandate should be respected.

When millions of Americans voted for a change in leadership in November, they voted for a new direction.  That choice should not be undermined by political obstruction in Congress or by criminal defendants.

To date, I have not had so much as a single conversation with New Jersey Senators, despite repeated outreach. That is not how the process should work in a functioning democracy. Still, that will not stop the Department of Justice from continuing the meaningful progress weโ€™ve made under this administration.

Since my arrival, Newark has seen a 20% reduction in crime. Camden recently experienced its first summer in 50 years without a single homicide. These outcomes are not accidental, and these numbers do not lie.  My office will continue to deliver real results for the citizens of this state and we are not slowing down.  The mission is clear: to protect our communities, drive down violent crime, and hold accountable those who defraud, exploit, or abuse the public trust.

TWO DUI crashes. One weekend. Both into police cars. You canโ€™t make this up.

The first happened around 3:30 a.m. Saturday, when an unmarked patrol vehicle was parked on the shoulder of Airport Blvd finishing up a traffic stop. Out of nowhere, a driver plows right into the back of the patrol car. Investigators found numerous โ€œtruly hardโ€ seltzers and other empty cans in the vehicle. And yes, the driver surprise, surprise, was truly arrested for DUI.

Fast forward to 12:32 a.m. Sunday at a different location, same bad decision. Our officers were turning onto E. Mississippi from S. Chambers when they rear endedโ€ฆby yet another drunk driver.

Thankfully, all our officers are okay, though all were taken to the hospital for minor injuries and two had whiplash.

Please join us in sending prayers and, or positive thoughts for their recovery๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

Letโ€™s be real: thereโ€™s nothing cool, funny, or excusable about driving under the influence. Call a ride, call a friend, walk, crawl do literally anything else, just donโ€™t drive drunk. Itโ€™s not worth the risk.

Because if you hit a patrol car, letโ€™s be honest: thatโ€™s not โ€œbad luck.โ€ Thatโ€™s bad judgment. These officers were lucky. Next time, it could be you, your friend, or someoneโ€™s family member.

Anti-ICE protesters cannot be described as peaceful when their actions include violence toward others and law enforcement officers. Obstructing the free movement of people and engaging in assaults undermines the very message they claim to promote. There are lawful, constructive avenues to voice dissent โ€” violence and intimidation are never acceptable.

This U.S. citizen thought it was a good idea to use her car as a 4,000-pound weapon against our agentsโ€ฆ Weโ€™ll hit back with as many consequences as we can.

When our agents were driving away from the scene of an enforcement operation, she drove aggressively at them before running into their van with her car.

Her reckless and out-of-control behavior endangered public safety and our agentsโ€™ lives. Any violence against our agents will NOT be tolerated.

Itโ€™s been more than a month since House Republicans did our job by passing a simple bill to keep the government OPEN.

Since then, our Members have been in their districts WORKING โ€” helping families, veterans, and small businesses through this Democrat Shutdown.

Meanwhile, Democrats are leading hateful protests, staging pointless political stunts, and giving worthless excuses. Itโ€™s time for them to end the shutdown THEY CREATED.

Prayers for the Raleigh Police Officer who was injured in the line of duty overnight.๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป

North Carolina: An officer was injured after an SUV crashed into the back of a Raleigh Police Department cruiser on Interstate 440 near Glenwood Avenue late Sunday night.

Raleigh police said the officer was headed to a reported crash where a car hit a parked car on the side of the road. While responding to the initial crash, the SUV rear ended the Raleigh police officer's cruiser on I-440 East near Glenwood Avenue.

Both the officer and the driver of the SUV were taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The officer has since been released, and the driver is still receiving treatment, police said at 8 a.m.

The driver, identified as Jacques Gashumba, 57, was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to reduce speed, failure to stop for a siren and having an open container.

Power, Payoffs & the Disappearing Watchdogs - my latest article exposes how Los Angeles Countyโ€™s political elite have quietly dismantled oversight, sidelined watchdogs, and turned public accountability into a pay-to-play operation.

When corruption becomes currency, truth becomes collateral damage.

This investigation pulls back the curtain on how power and payoffs intersect in LA County politics.
